Most expensive video card ever?

Unless you do 3D artwork or something that card is a huge waste of money.

yeah these are workstations cards, not gaming cards. They do more difficult types of math computation specifically for art editing work, graphic design, etc.

You get what you pay for if you are into graphic design and animation.

If youre a gamer this card is a waste of money.

Those video cards are designed to compute graphics accurately. They're much more thorough than the typical GPU. While they may play most games, they're not terribly good at them.

Note, Quadro cards are the exact same card as an 8800GT/GTX/whatever their equivalent is. The only difference is drivers and the BIOS on the card.

Bascially you're paying a premium for the drivers they write. You can easily flash your "gamer" card to a workstation card, and back.

I remember someone posting on some other forum, he wanted to know why he couldn't max Crysis with 2 of those cards in SLI. :p

There is a guide up here if anyone is interested and has a compatible card.

Please note, though (from the article):

...Soft-modding your GeForce card into a Quadro will not improve your graphics card's gaming performance in any way. All it does is enable hardware acceleration of professional 3D applications like 3ds Max.

I think I'll stick with my graphic card right now. With that money I would probably buy a brand new system.
