need knowledge...

If you have to ask that question, then I doubt you'd have the technical knowledge to actually do it.

If you really want to, check your motherboard documentation, check every online resource you can find, and preferably get someone that knows what they're doing.

The first line:
Upgrading a laptop CPU rarely makes sense and is often impossible

um no, all laptop manufacturers make their own configurations & if u edit it in ANY way, #1 it will void the warranty & #2 if u dunno what ur doin, u may mess other stuff up besides ur cpu, so overall its not really advisable.

Of course you can! You can squeeze it in there easily!

Now, as to whether or not it'll work...that's an entirely different question.

yeah you will definitely void any type of warranty, and youll probably end up killing your laptop. Not sure how customixable them alienwares are...crappy tech support too.

yeah i would say not so much to the working or not question.

BUT theres a simple solution to your problem, buy a desktop machine(not an alienware plz just build it yourself)

Yep, you save ALOT of money building it yourself ;)

yeah i can build a desktop but laptops...i know hardly anything about thanks guys

Nope it's new technology you would need to get another motherboard and it would not be worth your money... better off just getting new system.

You can't really build a laptop yourself...at least most people can't, even those who build their own desktops. You need a laptop motherboard, a laptop case that'll house everything, which you'll prolly have to build from scratch (there's no set form factor for laptops *right?*), then find some mobile CPUs, GPUs, work on your soldering skills, learn to use tweezers for those hard to reach places, etc...

Would be kinda cool though.
