Its for a friend for their b-day & ive told them that im usin some of my old parts, question is they will not be doing much on the computer, so whats a decent psu 2 get 2 put in the system & itll stay good n goin 4 a good long time?? im not even gonna get her a new dell (esp w/ vista), im gonna get xp pro & she will be fine.

Looks to only have 10 Amps. Not gonna be enough to power even a halfway decent video card, not to mention the rest of your gadgets.

What kind of parts are you putting in?

um it has 30 amps for vid.and 26 for rest.
but bay 20 get 20 dollars worth if ya get what i mean. it all depends on what you plan on powering and how much use will the computer be getting, many hours of gaming,or a few minutes checking e-mail?

The Sunbeam PSU-BKS580 has won approvals from cUl, CE, CB, and FCC. This power supply has a classic black for and elegant look. This unit is highly efficient and produces low noise and ripple, for a quiet, efficient airflow and enough power for your gaming needs!

So there you go :D

im lookin into the whole bit bout playin reg pc games n such. i will most likely not install a sound card, just let em use reg onboard sound. when it comes to the cpu, im gonna put in my old p4 3.2 ghz (775 socket), so there will be limitations when it comes to playin video games. ill try 2 get 2x1gb stix of ddr2 800 memory. any suggestions on motherboard that will work on my p4? also the cheapest decent hard drive seems 2 be a 250gb for ~$50, so i think ill go w/ that.

ps the person im buildin this comp 4 isnt a hardcore gamer (like some of us), theyre just reg casual gamer. just got a txt from my friend, sayin that her kids will love a video card, so tryin 2 decide on either my 6600 or my 7600gt. further updates will come i am sure of that.
