periodic lag in game

Hi guys, so over the past year I've gotten periodic stuttering in game. I always thought it was just framerate drops from my computer but I found out last night that it was actually due to the way vista handles wireless connectivity. Vista looks for a better wireless connection every 60 seconds which can cause lag spikes in the game. I prevented this using a tool called Vista anti lag http://vista-anti-lag.software.informer.com/. Its made a huge difference in how smoothly the game plays. To find out if your having this problem too just go to the search box and type in cmd. When the screen pops up type in ping -t "ip address of your router" Watch it for a couple minutes and you may see big ping spikes every minute of so. If this happens download that vista anti lag tool and hopefully it'll smooth your game right out for you. I don't know if anyone else has this problem but I figured I'd post it just in case other people are experiencing this too.

Just one more reason why I would never game on Vista.

its nowhere as bad as people make it out to seem. in this situation windows XP does the exact same thing if you don't disable WZC. I'd say vista is the most stable OS I've used from microsoft, I've never had a problem with it for gaming or otherwise. The lag problem was my own fault I should have spotted it earlier

the whole memory hog on 32 bit systems kinda of kills vista in my opinion anyways, 64 bit, that's another story.

as for the vista anti lag, that's good to know, and I have someone that can actually use this.

Why is everybody so exited about "Windows 7" ? It's not gonna be out untill 2010... You only have a Beta
Although it's a beta, I've found 0 bugs, it can use all 6 gigs of ram, it can use DX10 (technically DX11), my games work on it (unlike Linux) and it's not Vista.

Oh, and it's free. :)
