Thread Title....

So yea im looking for new "silent" fans, meaning as quiet as possible with decent airflow... I know Noctua makes excellent fans.. but theyre expensive :/

I'm looking for 3 fans, in a perfect world, all $15 or less.. but knowing my luck, ill settle for less than $20 each.

On a side note... anyone here is selling some pm me, maybe i can shave some $$$ off that way :S

So basically, point me in the right direction of what specific models.. and maybe even user experiences? ^^

And almost forgot, I'm looking for 3 x 120mm fans

Thanks in Advance,
~Munky

Killzone, thing is I'd like them to be as near silent as possible... and im just looking for 3 of the same, i dont care about color, LED's or w/e

I have no clue what dba level i should be looking at... maybe thats the next issue i should look at? I don't know :S

Hey monkey. Foxtrotniner told me about this site a while back when i needed some fans cheap and fast. I usually order newegg and especially xoxide for moding stuff but this place was the best and cheapest.

That is the page with the fans but you are more than welcome to check the rest of the site. I got 3-4 of these all for under 20 bucks with shipping.

There are others but these yate loons rock. I hardly hear any noise from them.

If you want sound check out the Vantec Tornado. Man that this is loud but pushes so much air its ridiculous. It sounds like the death star laser starting up and turning off when I turn on and off the computer. but that was a long time ago. I still have the fan for giggles.

I remember i knocked it over once on the table while it was on and it hovered like a couple of centimeters off the table. rofl

Hope you like the site.

I dont think you are really going to find any fans that are called "silent" Basically, you just want 120mm fans. The noise level is directly related to the RPM of the fan, the larger the fan, the more air it can push at a lower RPM, this making it quieter. If you truly want silent, get the largest fan you can get and will work for your application, then get some control for the fan and lower the RPM a bit.

Liquid cooling is virtually noiseless, but expensive.

Might want to look into that.
