Anyone Tried the Turtle Beach Ear Force SPC headsets?

I'm so debating on buying these headsets. Actually I'd love to buy a bigger set, but I'm also trying not to lose my house since money's a little tight. Has anyone tried these Ear Force SPC headsets from Turtle Beach? I'm not worried about the audio quality to the ear pieces, I'm worried about a microphone that people can't hear like the LogiTechs I made the mistake of wasting my money on. Can anyone help me here?

Heres my current favorite from TurtleBeach, the EarForce HPX. They are exactly like my current set of HPA2's that I've been using since they came out (had the HPA1 before that) but completely customizable depending on your setup! If you got the $$ I would highly recommend them to ANYONE!
 
In the diagram the mic looks exactly the same as the one on the X-52's I bought, and it's loud and clear.
 
Cheez, thanks man! I may look into that first set and try to manage the cord. lol :-) Hopefully I can find them somewhere amongst the eGO Mall. :-)

Too bad we didn't get anything from an eBay sponsor. . . 75% of everything I own came from there! lol (I'm a junkie. . . )
 
Don't be fooled by cheap immitations SnakeEyez.

Two weeks from now you won't regret spending an extra 25 bucks on something that is going to last you a long time.

Man, I'm always thinking Turtle Beach. . .I really want the facny set we've been giving away here but with so many bills due, I'd have a hard time justifying that purchase with the wife. Hmm. . . wonder if I could sell some old video games on ebay. . .Anyone wanna buy Madden 2009 for the PS3 for ohh. . . .$69? :-D lol
 
Ehhh. . . .no. lol That's my only source of life when I don't pay my cable bill on time and lose internet. :-D
 
Ok, I posted a couple games on ebay. . .go spend a lot on them so I can get my Turtle Beach Head set with 5.1 Surround Sound. :-D

(well, I'll just set you on fire and what happens after that isn't the fault of the pyro. lol)
 
get the Ear Force X-52 its little more money but the sound is grate it will last a all time I got one and I never take it off I love my Ear Force X-52 to death
 
If you can find a great deal on ebay then I would personally recommend the Sennheiser PC-350's. I found an amazing deal on ebay(nearly half MSRP) and bought a pair. All I can say is that it is like wearing a slice of heaven on my ears, the sound is downright amazing... :D

I know you were asking about Turtle Beach, I wish I could recommend you a pair, but I have never had any of their products... :(

The SPC is the most economical TB headset and is perfect for Skype, Ventrillo, or any chat/voice messaging program. It should work out fine for you. Don't expect the sound to knock your socks off because that's certainly not it's draw. We're talking about a VERY VERY basic headset.

Wow...that's an absolutely RIDICULOUS deal! The HPA-2 is normally $99.99 before shipping, so if you can get it for $52.99 shipped--then that's the deal of the century. The biggest difference between the X-52 which is given away here every month and the HPA-2 is that the HPA-2's sound is amplified, so the sound really comes to life quite a bit more. Plus, the HPA-2 has rock solid construction--it's frame is 95% metal! I have absolutely no problems saying that the HPA-2 is the best gaming headset on the market.

Though the Sennheiser PC350 is an excellent headset, it's sound is nowhere comparable to the HPA-2 or even passive X-52. The closest model that TB has is the HPX, but since the HPX has multiple drivers working (versus the single in the PC350), it's SPL's will outperform the Sennheiser model quite easily. Though Sennheiser's published specs state that the PC350 has a wider frequency response, the subharmonics on the low end can't even be heard by the human ear anyway. From my experience with Sennheiser's PC350 and even the HD595 (popular audiophile headphones), I found the soundstage to be too collapsed--and over longer listening found them fatiguing. The HPA-2/HPX is a better sounding headphone because it gives a much deeper and wider soundstage and does at least as good of a job as the Sennheisers with dynamic range. Results such as this is typically due to higher SPL when all other factors are equal--which makes sense because there's exponentially less strain on each individual speaker in a multi-driver headset compared to a headset with a single speaker in each earcup.

BTW, the absolute best price I've ever seen for a Sennheiser PC350 is $150. Compared to the $79 retail on an HPX (much less the $52.99 deal for an HPA-2), the logical choice here is Turtle Beach.

Nice price reduction, but I was reading the reviews on it and there seems to be a lot of people who don't like a) the mic and b) how they feel on your head. Hmm. . . .wish I could try things out easier. . .
