So...downloaded the game...which ate up a lot of my free time after school to do whatever I want...and here are my views=

The g:):)ds-
1.Better graphics =)
2.Better keys, controls
3.A PRONE KEY ( don't ask,some other games don't have prone =O)
4. A RPG that can actually kill in a single hit (again...don't ask)
5.BETTER THAN OTHER GAMES I PLAYED
6.Big maps

The B:mad:ds-
1.Every corner in the heat of battle you peek out of gets you killed...
2.Sniper position is never open (then again...I don't see a sniper)
3.A lot of people cuss, which is quite different from when I played TF2 with the no swearing rule...
4.Did I mention the corners?
5. Snipers (If any...) seem to get me every time when I'm perfectly in cover, and I never see them...ever....
6. I team killed about 6 times because my allies are the same color as the enemy...
7.Big maps
8. When you are trying to be a ninja, but then you realize you're pistol is out of ammo, you yell out right behind the enemies "RELOADING!!!"
9.Reloading never happens quick enough when you press the button...

Well..that was 10 minutes of the game...hopefully when I get better TOMMOROW I could finally get that pesky sniper a little taste of his own medicine...By the why, do the U.S. millitary use Tylenol or Nyquil?

those who say it's as easy as stealing candy from a baby have never tried it...

It definitely takes some adjustment to get used to the gameplay. Learning the maps helps TREMENDOUSLY! You discover where the good cover is, where snipers like to setup, routes to the objectives, etc.

As for the cursing, we have the same rules as all other eGO servers, so if there's an admin in the server not handling a situation please get a condump and let an INS Advisor know. If there's no admins in the server, contact one from your Steam friends if you can. We do the best we can but we don't have nearly as many admins as TF2, and sometimes we just don't have the coverage we need.

Yes, we are sadly understaffed. However, if you keep trying to get better you might realize the same thing I did and you're playing more INS than TF2. Not that that's a bad thing either :D It's a much harder game than TF2 and takes a lot of getting used to. As for the snipers, if you're having a hard time finding them now, don't play sinjar!

And p.s. if you don't like TKing so much, try our FF off server. Have fun!:)

Hey, I saw you in the game today.

#1, #4, #5, #6, #7: You will get killed. You won't know who did it or where they were. Welcome to Insurgency.

#2 is a good thing. It sucks when everyone snipes and no one tries to capture the points.

#3, it's been crazy lately with the language, TKing, spawn camping, disrespect, and other such problems. I agree. As an admin, I've been spending a lot of attention admining instead of just playing.

#7, some are small (ramadi) some are big (sinjar, almaden, baghdad) but those maps are push or battle so the action is still in a small area, but that area can move. haditha is interesting because it's so convoluted for a battle map. I'm still not sure where every little passage goes.

#8 a legit complaint. Seems like you should be able to control your own voice in the game.

#9 it takes less time to reload if you do it before you're completely empty

Let me elaborate a bit more beyond what soulripper has brought up.
This game is intended to be team based, as in teams working together
and effects every comment you have brought up. It is a different game
and requires a different mode of play and more maturity on the individual
players.

The Bads-
1.Every corner in the heat of battle you peek out of gets you killed...
Welcome to combat. That is the purpose of covering fire or recon
which is the job of both the marksmen (not a true sniper in this game)
and the machine gunners.

2.Sniper position is never open (then again...I don't see a sniper)
What's everyone's obsession with playing in this role?

3.A lot of people cuss, which is quite different from when I played TF2 with the no swearing rule...
Sometimes players bypass the maturity requirement.

4.Did I mention the corners?
This is why combat completely turns some people into quivering blobs of flesh.

5. Snipers (If any...) seem to get me every time when I'm perfectly in cover, and I never see them...ever....
Then they are doing their job :)

6. I team killed about 6 times because my allies are the same color as the enemy...
Learn to identify before firing. It's not easy, but when in doubt, don't fire.

7.Big maps
War isn't fought in a tea cup!

8. When you are trying to be a ninja, but then you realize you're pistol is out of ammo, you yell out right behind the enemies "RELOADING!!!"
That's because that is how it is done when moving as a team, you are never
alone, even the marksman. Again, this points to the games intended demographics.

9.Reloading never happens quick enough when you press the button...
Have you ever reloaded an M16 or a M249 under fire??? I have... the game is faster.

Well..that was 10 minutes of the game...hopefully when I get better TOMMOROW I could finally get that pesky sniper a little taste of his own medicine...
I would not concentrate on just the sharpshooter who's been threading your
needle, but on how you may better integrate into the existing teams and
improve your team playing skills.

Oooh also. I forgot to mention this earlier. Your most valuable buttons are Ctrl, Q, and E. Why you ask? Because the smaller your profile the harder it is to hit you. So if you crouch and lean around a corner right you're barely exposed and you can fire down the entire alleyway. Just wish there was a way to toggle crouch so I'm not having to hold Ctrl+E and be able to press V to communicate without hurting my hand.

However, leaning around corners is a must on small maps like haditha. Because you never know if there's someone else leaning around a corner just waiting for you to run down that hallway. Always look before running.

Takes some time to get ust to, if you want you could try attending one of our boot camps taught by SCSWAT

Ahaha, reminds me of our morning sniper match a couple of weeks ago. BUT, I did find you........ then you some how managed to survive a shot to the head. I blame the hit boxes.

Screw that! Hesitation get you killed. If they are stupid enough to wear the tan shirt and head shawl they deserve to get shot.

Options>Gameplay>Advanced>Enable crouch toggle

IIRC...

..

Uhmm i dont think that is the kind of talk/attitude to have, cause now if i see you TKing, i will think your intentionally killing your teammates, which will equal to kick, time out, even ban.

I recommend FF OFF for you till you learn to tell the difference.

I rarely use Q or E or crouch. If you keep getting killed when you are running.. always look were to run to.. as in COVER! and use Z!

I always run from cover to cover when the team is not working as a team, but always hit the deck! and ZIG ZAG! never straight! always look at places you would hide! Chances are the other team member is hiding there...

OFFCOURSE THE MOST IMPORTANT! ALWAYS SHOOT IN SHORT BURST! i suggest using Semi Automatic, you know 1 shot one kill is what you need to learn to practice! THEN AND ONLY THEN you will be more familiar in how the game works and improve your aim...

To sum it all up... You love INSURGENCY right? :p

INS is a drug! when the servers were down, NO FPS would come close to what i wanted to play! NONE WOULD TAKE WAY THE FIX! I COULDNT STAND ALL THE HEALTH CHARACTERS HAVE! hehe

The most important thing is playing a lot of hours in the early going in order to learn the maps. After you learn the good spots to hide and where the enemy comes from the kills will seem to fall into your lap.
