Do not download this program. I got a TON of viruses from this. Including stealth and trojans. This program tells you that files are detected when its really the thing giving you THOSE viruses. Im currently on my laptop because it screwed up my computer. On google i looked it up, and it says "This program can not be trusted"

old news but thanks for letting people that don't know about this, know about this.

kk cool...atleast people can get safe because it also comes up on websites as a pop-up telling you to download it

The perfect solution to this is Malware Malbytes. Its free and very effective. When my friend got this on his comp. I googled solutions and most posts recommended that program I have used it for about a year. Does a great job.

ah yes. this is not the only version of that trojan, it has other versions (2008, 2007, etc)

its disguised to look like the real deal. But as always, look before you leap

avg is actually not that effective at removing viruses/malware.

I find the perfect combination to be

-Windows Defender
-Superantispyware
-Spybot S & D
-Avast!

I used 8.0 home edition or free edition whichever one it is. It missed 1 worm, 2 trogans, and 4 rootkits that avast picked up. Also, avg has poor realtime security compared to avast.

Honestly, I had no luck at all with this program. I used it because I had the exact same program, which I received TOTALLY free from a caring drive-by website. It stopped the spam and general agervating stuff that came with the malware for all of 5 minutes. I reformatted.

alright, all im sayin is that the free version of avast does a better job than the free version of avg. i would guess the full version of avast! is superior to the full version of avg but have tested neither.

Make firefox as your Internet Browser because it is much safer and you can get all kinds of addons which can warn you when you open a dangerous website. This will prevent viruses attacking your computer.
