Halo Wars... Good or Bad?

Okay, many of you might not know this, but i started with first person shooters online with halo one and two. The new halo game, Halo Wars, is not based in a first person shooter mode, it is in Strategy form where you command squads. Do you think that this will floop and steer avid halo players away form the game because it is not a FPS game?

i do not think fps lovers should get this game, it is not a fps their is no 1st person in it, the name might throw a few people off but if thats what ur looking for dont get it. im getting it because i love rts games and fps games and i love halo :)

i unno its a tough call, cuz they have been putting a lot of work into it, and ive always loved start games (ever since generals). i think it'll do just fine untill Halo recon comes out for 360 :D

I go to class with a knife and pistol holster around my waist...I don't think I'm going to be playing "Halo Wars" anytime soon ;)

I tried the demo and it's great. The controls are pretty easy to work with, so commanding your units and building your base is a cinch. The graphics are pretty great, and it seems like a pretty good story line. I'd definitely rent it to try as much as you can.

And I'd wish people would actually put more than "yah it's gud" or "no i dont lik it."

Its really simple and doesn't involve any economic or base building components. That takes almost all of the strategy.
STRIKE ONE

It is an RTS game on a console so it is really watered down and annoying to control.

STRIKE TWO

It's a Halo RTS and StarCraft 2 is comming up

STRIKE THREE

Conclusion: Save money for StarCraft 2

To be honest, I'm not sure if Halo Wars is a good idea. Halo 3 should have been the end; it ended perfectly and left people reflecting more than positively on the game. To choke out another game into the series is a mistake in my eyes. I don't see the logic in pumping out another game into a seemingly dead series.

On the other hand, I will definitely attempt to give it a try because I loved Halo 2 and Halo 3. The RTS feel to the game should be quite interesting to play; it might add a whole new Dimension to the series.

It's really a 50-50 argument.

Best game in the world. Get the demo and u will be addicted to it. Its sooooo much fun and u wont regret buying it i already have it preeorderd and havt the special edtion fot xbox 360! Get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my opinion, after playing the game, I chose to believe that it is not a good game, especially for you from what it sounds like. You may like games like Warcraft 3, but this is a little lame. It has nothing to do with halo other than the people in it. The concept of halo should have stayed gone after Halo 3. Do not get me wrong, I am a die-hard Halo fan. I played the first one, CE, 2, and 3, and I still enjoy modifying CE for fun every so often, but the concept is not the best. I would take the suggestion of getting the demo of it and playing it though. Like said, there is a 50/50 chance you will like it. Have fun and good luck.
