Here are a few things I have to say about insurgency after playing it my first day. When I first downloaded the game I immediately decided to play in an eGo server because of my great experience in DoD. The first server I played on was a little out of control I have to say but the admins quickly squashed the "bad guys". While playing I noticed a lot of chatter about the game and the question came up would you pay ten dollars for this game. After playing on the first server I had a bad taste in my mouth about the game but after speaking to some of the admin staff I decided to try the game again. Well I have to say now that I have given it another shot I think I am hooked. Do I think I would pay ten dollars for this game? Yes I do, and here is why. The game is still new and it is taking its first steps. I first played DoD when it was a mod and if this turns out as well as that one did I think it will be great. Well this is just one newbies view on the game how do you all feel?

Totally agreed, but you have to know that most players who are pro/experienced would normally go solo. . .

i heard about this mod in early december... i have been hooked and have completely disregarded cs and dod since! yes i think that we do need more teamwork but this is still a semi newer mod and we still have some things to hash out. all in all this is a good group of guys to play with here and the teamwork is a lot better than any other ins server ive played on.

My download is 94% complete, and after playing I'll be sure to give you guys some feedback ;)

but NOT the pros'/experienced with THIS game in particular. The experienced
INS player starts blending into the team in the very first round of play.

Definitely NOT CSS...

Rambo was a hollywood character. I've known quite a few operatives in my
time and NONE of them are dumb enough to take the world on alone unless
it was the last resort. Solo means you are dead... Uncle Sam did not issue
you eyes for the back of your head!!!!

I just downloaded it a few days ago and have played it once or twice. The first map I joined I died quite a bit (even though I was with my team) and had absolutely no idea where the bullet came from. I then later attempted a different map and I could actually see my nemesis and proceeded to get some kills. Being new to every map, I found it hard to know where to look for people, or get a feel for the map when getting shot from some unknown areas.

Even though I was very discouraged at first because the game seemed almost impossible, after I got a slight handle on things and a clear map, I changed my mind a little bit. I will defiantly be playing this game more.

i have to say i would buy this game. as far as team work for the marine side all you really need to is two really good players and you can win everytime.

Playing the same map on both teams helps you learn where each team has good camping spots and where you need to hide from those spots. It is not enough to simply get good at one side otherwise you will never know in which window to look for a sniper, etc. I find this is the biggest factor in becoming "good" at this game.

Pay money

I would definitely pay $10 for Insurgency for two reasons.
1. It means that the game is more refined and would have less bugs
2. I would pay through the nose to get anything signed into production by VALVe. (fanboyish squealing):p
