Connecting to Steam servers

Anyone else having trouble connecting to steam servers? I just tried to run DoD (Steam was active at the time, so I thought) and it wanted log in again. I tried to log in and no go, so I try to retrieve my account and twice it said emails were sent...NOT. Now I try to jack in and it says Steam is having trouble connecting to the Steam servers. Just curious if anyone else is having this issue.

Yeah a couple people were having that problem last night. Try resetting your router, deleting 'clientregistry.blob' from the steamfolder, resetting your modem, and restarting your comp.

Make sure you aren't set as the DMZ on your router.

I trolled the Valve forums, seems the servers are overloaded because of Bioshock, people as far as NY can't get on, guess you're lucky if you're not in one of the affected servers.

I'm getting worried I always fear when something like this happens that my account got jacked. Stupid thing says it's sent me emails to verify my account, still haven't got any, even when I typed in the email address. I dunno. Hope it gets resolved soon, it's been over an hour now

basically, it's the login screen. I had steam running, took a nap and when I got up wanted to play some DoD, so I start to load DoD and the login comes up saying I need to log in. I try to log in and it says the account doesn't exist or the password is wrong. so I fiddle with it and do the whole I forgot my pass thing, it says it sent an email with a verification code and hint. I did this like 5 times, nothing every received in my email. so then I try another way by actually inputing my email for them to send it to me and still nothing so I dunno. At one point it said steam was having trouble connecting to the steam servers, but that's done. I notice that if I delete the client registry.blob, it will update steam to download it, but after that, still get the login screen and I can't log in.

That happened to me once in game, It said I needed to login again....this happened because a friend of mine was on my account, it said "login in again, account being used on another compuer"....so i changed my password so my friend couldnt use my account anymore

after 4:00am, still can't connect to steam. I've sent an email to support, we'll see where that goes.
