Which CPU

Same sized chip, the first one is a bit faster on the GHZ, but the 2nd one is faster on 'hyper transports' (what is that?!) and has more cache. I would say the 1st one but im not relaly sure, im an intel guy

Will you be overclocking? I recommend the 2nd one. I have a AMD processor myself.

idk becasue i dont really need a quad core and i dont think quad core equals better performance sometimes

dual core is better for gameing i herd, quad core i think is more of a programers processor (multuple programs open) but im not to sure so dont base your decision on my comment. i myself run a dual core and i love it :P

i run quad core and i just game just fine nuthin is really different from a quad core an dual core or a tricore or soon with intel a octacore yes 8 cores....

Which CPU would be a better buy and have better performance?
This one is my current cpu i want to buy

This one is cheaper and is better at OCing

Go for the 7750, clock for clock it is faster than the 6000 (K10 vs K8) and is much better at running multithreaded apps.(L3 cache FTW) Granted, neither of them compare to this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103648

It's a bit more expensive, but smokes both of the previous 2. Not to mention you probably stand a pretty good chance of squeezing and extra 1GHz out of it. Plus the upgraded L3 cache(both in size and performance[enhanced registers FTW]) makes it even more of a beast at running multithreaded apps. The 3rd core will go to waste in most games though :(
