Hey all.

Just got a box of 50 5.25" floppy disks cos i need some for my legacy programs, etc. but i was wondering whether anyone knew how you can tell the difference between the 360kb floppies and the 1.2mb floppies.

If you cant then no worries - trial + error but it'd be great to know.

Cheers all who may help :p

i havnt heard anyone talk about floppies for a while now

From what i read the 1.2m floppies will have notches on both sides [I assume they are referring to the lock/unlock notch] while the 360k only has a notch on 1 side. I don't have any old floppies laying around so I can't check that, good luck :)

I did a google image search on the different sizes and came up with nothing to help tell them apart.

Alright well thanks all for tryin anyways... I'll just figure it out somehow

Thanks a lot pillar. Sorry, ill try and research it all next time. I had done a bit but i was on here mainly for answers from people who had first hand experience which seems to be quite hard to find nowadays lol.. Anyways thanks a lot.
