How enable console make a demo and make binds!

[In this tutorial I will show you how to enable your console and use some commands that could help you.

there are 5 sections listed below are their names
1. How to enable the console.
2. Basic commands.
3. Change cross hair size or enable, disable radar.
4. How to make buy binds in game.
5. How to Record a Demo.

Section 1: How to enable the console
1. Click Options
2. Click Keyboard
3. Click Advanced
4. Click Enable developer console

Section 2: Basic commands.
Here is a list of some of the most common console commands

Quit "Don't do unless you want to exit game"
Connect "ip : port" port is not always necessary
Retry "Reconnects to the server you are on"
status "say's everyone in the server you are in like the time if they are playing and also the most important steam_0:0:18273645

Section 3: Change cross hair size or enable, disable radar.
Ok when you have your console open there is a way to change your crosshair size and that command would be cl_crosshairscape "size" 1 is the lowest 7500 is the highest. the lower the number you go the bigger your cross hair is.
How to fix your radar if it wont show up or you want it turned off
cl_radaralpha 255 That is the command to turn it on.
cl_radaralpha 0 That is the command to turn it off.

Section 4:How to make buy binds in game.
Ok making a buy bind is easy you just bind "letter" "buy ak47; buy deagle; buy flashbang; buy flashbang; buy hegrenade; buy smoke grenade; buy vesthelm;" look at the list below of all the common names and command names.
game name = game command name (use this for binds)
nade = hegrenade
flash = flashbang
smoke = smokegrenade
glock = glock
USP = usp
Compact pistol = P228
Deagle = deagle
.57 = fiveseven
duelys = elite
pump shotty = m3
auto shotty = xm1014
tmp = tmp
mac10 = mac10
ump = ump45
mp5 = mp5navy
p90 = p90
galil = galil
famas = famas

Section 5: How to Record a Demo.
ok so in order for you to make a demo go to spectator then in console Record Ruthless.Assassin and at the end you just quit cs:s and go to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\Username\counter-strike source\cstrike when you are recording a demo of that person press you ctrl button on the keyboard you see first person and names of people scroll down to that persons name who you are going to spec and click it then you should be them when that person dies change first person to free look and then next round do it all over again

I think the guide it self is a great idea, but i think it needs to be a little more user friendly, it is probably a little confusing for someone who has no idea how to do these things. I do know how and had to read it a few times to understand what you were saying. To make it easier to understand try this- Seperate the actual commands with a space instead of all in the same paragraph like this;

to bind a key to say something type the following in console using " " where shown;

Bind "f3" "say Welcome to Edgeamers server"

you can change the message you want to send and obviously change the key you want to bind the message to.

to Bind a key for buying weapons it is very similar, the following command will give you a krieg, deagle, kevlar with a helmet, 2 flash bangs, and grenade. I like to keep my weapons binds on the number key pads to make them easy to find, but you don't bind them to the number, you bind them to the name of the key, for instance;

bind "kp_home" "buy sg550; buy deagle; buy vesthelm; buy flahbang; buy flashbang; buy hegrenade"

if you copy and paste the above you will bind all those weapons above to the number 7 on the keypad. Look at your key pad, notice the name on the bottom (7=home, 8=uparrow, 4=leftarrow, etc)

you can change your weapon preferences and add whatever you want. I like to bind several to give you options. you must also use the proper name of the weapon when binding weapons, the following is a list of the proper names. Have fun!

the buy binds are great for those servers that only have a 1-3 secind buy period at the begining of the round, we don't have that problem here because i believe the buy time iseither 5 or 7 seconds, with fast fingers and knowing buy numbers (for instance, b44 as a T will buy you a Kreig), that is plenty of time.

it just makes it easier to buy weapons instead of going through the buy menu everytime you simply hit one key and buy all those weapons, so yes, it is helpful.

On the old OFPR servers we ran Mani Mod forever and only recently started running source mod, so i never really got good at all the admin controls, but in Mani, i had several binds that said things in admin (green) like on our Dust2 server "Warning, camping T's will be slayed!!!!!" or on our office server "CT's must be out of sniper rooms by 1:30!!!". It was easier to simply hit one key then typing it everytime, My guess is something similar will work in Source mod.

so to answer your question, should you use them, let me check my magic 8-ball.......signs point to yes!!!

Well with the return of the bank, another helpful bind- !bank
When you bind it, 2 things that make it advantages-

1) the obvious, it's easier to just simply hit one key versus typing it out everytime (especially when you are trying to deposit before the end of the round)

2) When you hit the key "!bank doesn't show up in the chat box like everyone else who doesn't have it bound, your banking menu simply pops up, again, just makes it easier
