Looks like a pretty strong system for the $$. You could always stick with the stock cooling fan and put your own on in the future to save some dough.

Looks good to me ;) Be sure to post some pics when you got it :)

I hope you mean DDR2 ram, not ddr3, since that motherboard doesnt support ddr3 ram :X

Pretty good deal, but could you link the PSU and hard drive? 680w doesn't equate to a processor that will run that, you need to make sure it has enough amperage on the appropriate volt rails. Also some hard drive manufacturers are better than others.

Also what's your monitor/mouse/keyboard/headset/soundcard?

What brand is that PSU? Hush? There's a Corsair 650TX above it, go for that instead.

Skimping out on the PSU...not the smartest choice. Seeing as how its the most vital component, that extra 50 could save you plenty of headaches down the road.

Yes, reputable PSUs are a must...a pleasant surprise is Newegg's Rosewill brand. Their 500w CPU has been powering my computer for a couple years (throughout upgrades, it now has specs quite similar to your intended upgrade). Make sure that PSU has 18Amps on the 12V rail at least. That's the power you'll want for that quad-core and powerful graphics card.

The main reason why I'm most likely not going to get it is because I'm on a $800 budget.

Better to buy it now, you can save yourself alot of money an waranty issues with a decent PSU ;)

Well, I tried replicating the same build with that PSU and it came to $840... not too bad.

something about tricore that scares me , seems so unbalanced

That's why you make a few changes in the BIOS to activate the fourth core ;)

A Tri-core is nothing more than a Quad with one of the cores disabled for pricing purposes...

go stock on the heatsink/fan, drop the dough into the corsair power supply. Congratulate yourself on spending an appropriate amount of money on a computer.

I've got a question i know it's off topic but, I told you guys I'm getting two 7900GT's and it saids min power on web 350, But when they are in SLI how much do they use.. gotta know now because i got a 550watt and my dad has a 750 watt:confused:

I think I'm going with the 650 130 is a bit more but still good for a 750 :)

Yeah the 750 is 30 more for 130 but i rather be safe than sorry and run into trouble :P

So the 750 i'm getting :)

I don't see why I should go stock on the heatsink/fan - It'll only save me $8, and the 4850 gets really hot (so I've heard). Besides, I'm getting the Corsair PSU anyway. I think I can spend $875, if I keep saving.
