Don't seem to have an issue with Firefox over here. What version you running?
Also, clearing your cookies would REQUIRE you to relogin, as your login creds are stored... in a cookie!
Also, are you running a paranoid virus scanner? It might be removing the edgegamers.org cookie that stores your login info.
DIAGNOSTIC FUN!
Install this Add-On:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/315
It's a cookie viewer, which is where the issue is starting. Now, go back to the edgegamers fora, log in, and then right click on the page and chose "Page Info."
There's a "Cookies" button along the top of the dialog that shows up. Click upon that.
You should see six cookies:
- bbsssionhash
- bbthread_lastview
- bbpassword
- bbuserid
- bblastactivity
- bblastvisit
Sessionhash and lastview should be "Expires: Session". This is how the site tracks you as you move around the site, so they can keep you up to date.
The other four should be set to expire somewhere in 2010. This is what stores your userid and password between visits (sessions). If you don't have those cookies, you're not set up to never have to log in again... when the "session" cookie dies, you have to log in again!
