Allow me to quote PDX_Capy.

Let me preface this. This is not directed at only this thread, and many people gave the correct input. However, we DO NOT NEED to ever say spawncamping again. Every situation you will encounter, can be dealt with, without the need for whining about spawncamping.

Ok, here is the spawncamping rule. If you have been able to get out of your spawn in the last 3 minutes, or there is more than one way out of spawn, SHUT UP!

All you have to do is watch if people are ready to leave, because its been several minutes since they got out. Then ask the player to back up because they are ruining them game for everyone. If they refuse, they have been warned, kick then ban if they do it again.

Now get your team together and push them back.

I would like to express some of the common sense rules about "spawn camping" and "exit camping" so we are all on the same page. This will also keep certain members from throwing a hissy fit and attempting to make the rules up themselves.

If you poke your head out of spawn and are instantly killed. It is exit camping. You will warn kick and ban as necessary.

If you are in spawn and a grenade or RPG wipes out your team, it is spawn killing. You will warn kick and ban as necessary.

If the player is merely standing outside of your spawn and allowing you the time to attempt to take up a defensive position before firing a shot at you, it is fine. You are to let it go.

If a player has the genius idea to use a barrel to boost up in a place that wasnt available to them before, they are fine until they start chucking nades in your spawn.

I want to reiterate to all of you that common sense rules are the best kind. If you havent been able to get out of your spawn and people are complaining...its time to step in.

Additionally, and this is for you admins that like to sit on dust2 as an insurgent because "I want the rpg" We dont personally care what your favorite weapon is. If a team is having problems and you are on the team pinning the other into the spawn, its time to switch. I dont care that your favorite weapon is the AK-47...if you kill someone, you can pick it up. The best way to rectify spawn or exit camping is to switch to the other team and lead them out of the spawn.

AMEN! I treat spawn campers as an additional tactical challenge to overcome. Assuming that in real life the enemy has intel that you will be in a certain place at a certain time, i doubt this would be construed as spawn camping.

Just throw a grenade on top of it or some where close by. As long as its not keeping someone from exiting spawn It should be ok...
