AUTODMC!
You're my hero! I was trying to think of some kind of solution to bombing that wouldn't really change the system Valve has developed here. I figured don't do the -15 penalty, just start counting points at 15 minutes (the break even point anyway). Bad servers would be penalized by not getting points, just not as fast as otherwise, because in the true system they'd be losing points while good servers gained points.
Anyway, your idea seems a lot more practical. From all my WoW playing days I can't believe I didn't think of diminishing returns.
Plus - Any chance of getting plugins for our servers that could in some way aid against bombing? I mean, one person could still do 30 points of damage to each of our servers in your system, and when his cooldown period is up, 30 more. We'd still have a net gain, but a much gimped one. A plugin to report SteamID's of possible bombers, and I mean people with NO OTHER OBJECTIVE other than to bomb, and we could drop the banhammer immediately.
