Terris,

There are some good points in the thread here and some bad. I suggest you go to Toms hardware and check out the reviews, charts and builds they talk about. They have some good info on what to spend you money on. I personally would go with (And have most already) I use AMD and put my money to the striped VelociRaptors and the liquid cooling. You can clock the 940 to 4G on everyday use. NOT some beefed up numbers that you can only do once for a reading you post. I build for real world use and abuse.

CPU: Phenom II 940BE OC to 4-4.2 max (Multiplier only)
Mobo: Asus M4A79 Deluxe
Ram: Corsair Dominator if you are just OC'ing via multiplier, and research the best ram if you are going to Extreme OC. Ram voltages and heat are finicky
Video: ATI HD4870 X2 (due to compatability) but the NVidia 295 is very sweet
HD: OS: Striped Velociraptors
Data: WD 1.5TB
DVD: LG BlueRay Burner and LG DVD Burner
Case: Antec 1200
PSU: Antec 1kw
Liquid Cooling: (CPU Cooling only) Swiftec H20-220 Apex Extreme Duty CPU Kit (What I'm getting)
(All inclusive Cooling) Swiftec H20-220 Apex Ultima Plus (Will do seperate upgrades to this with better components)
Monitor: Your preference, but ensure that you don't skimp on this. Your computer will be able to do some extreme resolutions and you want to be able to exploit the :-) I have a HannSpree HF259H ($269) and Im happy with it.
Keyboard: Logitech G15
Mouse: Wired - Logitech G-5, Wireless - Logitech G-7
Speakers: Bose Companion 5 (Surround speakers are a waste. If you are an extreme gamer like most of us here, we use the Turtle Beach Headphones so no one sneakes up behind us ;-)

Give me a shout if you need any help.

Flamers just email me directly and don't clog this post up. Aloha.

Check out Hardcorecomputers, completely liquid submerged pc's in that price range

Lol, you found the link on the forums xD I doubt he'd want that.

Here is a more 'normal' one : http://murderbox.com/gallery.html

And I've never had any experience with stuff from coolit or even a thermochiller. So I can't help you with that ;)

That murder box is beautiful lol but that system is all pre-built and it could have better hardware then what they put in them, If just the cases and water cooling systems were available I would totally get that. (and at that note that water cooling system while well done, isn't really anything special in that I could do that myself. The case on the other hand does appear to be custom made by them)

EDIT: I take that back, you can get the case separate from a system but it will cost $850 which is more then I'm spending on my processor if I get a intel i7 940.
