hmmm. the ak47 of the m14?

so i was on our dust server the other day. and ofcourse seeing as though our console team balance and limit team is set to a very percise number. i kept switching back and forth between T and CT. just about every two rounds O.O

but anyway. whilst this was hapening i really got to compare the two main Rifles i use; The AK47, and the M14.

i cant seem to decide which one i like more... ill be walking with a M14 and see an AK47 on the ground. and drop my M14 an get it. only to come back seconds later and pick back up my M14. haha.... then vice versa

i love the Accuracy and rate of fire of the M14. but the only hold back is that it can take up to 3-5 shots to the head to kill someone.

I love the AK47 for the power. i mean if you get a shot too the head, unrelated to distance, its always a for sure kill. no time to escape it. only problem is that its very unnacurate in the long run. and has quite the kickback after long periods of fire...

when i frst started playing CSS the only advice i had ever heard was aim for the head always. haha. so i have. about 90% of my kills are just headshots now. which is why im so critical on how fast i kill someone with one. just explaining why i was only complaining about headshots ;)

so the question remains; AK47 or M14?
i just cant decide :confused:
 
i find the i like the m14 better. but all in all it's winds down to personal preferences.
 
M4 better close range Office/highschool and then ak is beeter in dedust2(just my opinion :) but thats what i prefer on those maps because of the wayi play
 
i prefer a good usp or compact over both;) tho i pretty much wan't the gun i can't buy so if i'm a t i wan't m4 and if ct i wan't ak

i think ak is better for camping (as in cts) cause you're ususally not moving and can use cover when ur shooting.

m4 is better for rushing (terrorist) cause it has more accurate bullets while moving.

just my opinion tho.


but i prefer m4 anyway, just cause i hate showing up on other peoples' radars.
 
I love the kalashnikovs accuracy on the first shot. Some men say the best weapon is the one you dont have to fire. I strongly disagree; I believe the best weapon is the one you have to fire once.
 
Okay, first off, the m4 is not really a good gun, you got to be really good with it and do like only 2-3 burst shots as the ak. the spraying with the m4 sometimes but not all the time. THE AK on the other hand can save ur butt in any situation. Ak and be really good cause you just do 1 shots and get a good clean headshot or body shot, same with the 2-3 burst. Also the ak spray is very good because when u spray with the ak point it either down and spray or bring to to the head spray and pull your mouse down (gently) as you spray so the recoil doesn't throw your gun up, and so u always have a precise shot. Over all, good CS:S players and pros know the AK is the most dominant in the game besides the awp. AK can beat anything even an awp. so.....AK is all around the best gun in the game for both sides, AK gives CT's an advantage to have more power and a KICK to the team. M4, is just not really a powerful gun especially with the silencer on. I am now just starting to go silencer off so i can do more dmg, doesn't help me when i need to spray though. m4 only takes 2 shots to the head to kill(being picky :)) but I often find myself picking up the weapon of the opposite team. So if I am on terrorist, I pick up m4s and vice versa. I guess thats because I know I can buy the rifle for that team any time I want. As far as what I prefer; it depends. Sometimes I'm able to strafe out from behind a wall and head shot 2 or 3 guys running at me, in which case ill use an ak. If I am having a bad day and I can't seem to control my shots, I'll go m4 since the spray is easier to control. Not to mention the opposing team won't hear all the shots I have to take to kill a guy.
 
the ak is stronger and just as accurate, u just cant spray, if u burst fire ull most likely get a HS, imo the m4 is a horrible gun

apparently you haven't seen the m4 in my hands...personally i think it's the best gun in the game. the silencer doesn't really make a big enough difference in damage. just learn how to use it and it's just as good as any other weapon in the game
 
I'm way better with the ak, I just like the range and the accuracy of the first shot, makes for easier headshots.
 
i find that the ak is more of a distance shot with better accuracy on single shot than spraying or burst. but the m4 is more of a close range gun but has a decent accuracy rate spraying.

I agree with you, depends if I'm tired or not too.
 
If people are doing a lot of sneaking, I choose the M4 due to the silencer - really helps someone go undetected.

Otherwise, AK all the way!
