Wow, lol I heard no one mention Donner which is my favorite so far LOL. ;-p I've been playing Donner Kalt and Avalanche so far but I am going to try them all Donner and Kalt are GREAT though. They both present different challenges in and of themselves. Donner it's a lot of...Open and scary. Even if you sleuth through bench alley you still gotta put yourself out in the open and just run and shoot what you can lol. I am as stated the bravelittletoaster...So I run out there, and I could have won a round for us because I almost got the last flag, but we lost our first right as me and a few others were getting their first. Kalt I like, because there are so many different ways to sleuth around in there lol. It's also big, it feels much bigger than kalt. I like the German Assault class and the American Rifleman. But I really am sticking with the german assault as I'm getting better with it. Waffle and I have been creating private servers and playing every so often to try and get me practice on other weapons...He is hard to kill! lol. But notice...on my stats page I HAVE killed him six times on eGO servers. ;-)

It's great because I've really wanted to play this for a few weeks now but my computer would have died...it probably would have done a suicide samurai style if I tried to play DOD it has an onboard hp graphics card from 98 but waffle just got a new computer for his birthday so I got his. <333 First thing I did after cleaning it up was install DOD. I was on a guest pass for three days to make sure I liked playing and now that it's over I'm taking a break from it today and I'm going to buy it tomorrow. So you'll see me back on then. For today though, must try to get some things done back in the real world, but I will come visit the forums often today.

Also in reference to the family eGOness, we actually recruited our roomate into eGO as well, he's DarkNacho so you'll be seeing him around as well. We generally all play together. It's a fun way to rag on eachother later. Though right now I'm usually the one getting dominated. tehe.

LoL yeah i saw you there I'm sure that you were I gotta say though, I am getting better. I've almost knifed like 3 people to death but I got so nervous by the fact that I snuck up on them I just unload on them instead lol. I'm trying to get some play in on all the maps and I haven't played there but a few times so I get a little lost when I'm on there on occasion. I really love donner so i've been on there a lot but I'll make a point to come on to flash seems like a lot of you play on there. <3

I've only been playing for a week now, but from one new player to another I recommend just taking it slow and be patient. Unlike a lot of other shooting games, this one requires moving slow and just focusing on one thing at a time. Don't try to be a hero by running out in the open, as you have seen people will blast your head off. Just remember it is a game and have fun I'm sure you will get the hang of it. The thing that has helped me the most in this game and in gaming in general has been coming on Ventrilo and communicating with others that I am playing with. Several people have given me good tips, which have led to me playing better in this game. Just try to find a weapon and map you like. Once you figure that out, you then can move on to other aspects of the game.

I just really enjoy this game and having a game you can play with your husband isn't such a bad thing either. Everyone here has been SO nice. Russkie, good god, nice stats for being new lol. I think I've found my niche now and i'm gonna stick with it. I'm slowly but surely getting better the more I play. Up to almost a day of playtime now so I'm working on it, as well as the fact that I LOVE this game. Worth way more than ten bucks to me.

Hey BLT, glad to see you're having fun on DoD. Yesterday was my first day in DoD as well as eGO and yes it does definitely takes a little getting used to the playstyle and game mechanics (especially the recoil >_<) but overall it is a very fun game.

Oh yeah, I found last night that firing in short bursts will help you adjust to the recoil of the guns A LOT, lol.

I agree on the short burst thing. I'm getting my accuracy down better so now I can fire a little more fluidly without having to compensate, but assault has a heck of a recoil. lol

When I play assault I just run around, holding down the trigger pulling down lightly on my mouse... It's the most fun and gets alot of kills

I play a lot of MG. I recommend trying it too since all you got to do is sit down somewhere and just focus fire on one spot. Only downfall is that you are the main target of the opposing team. Thanks for the complement though.

You want to work on your recoil? Check out support. Try pulling back on your mouse a little when you fire. Crouching helps too. Only go prone when your not likely to be under fire. You can't shoot when going from standing to prone or back.

Thanks quaffer you've been a big help and I enjoyed reading those guides you sent me to. I've tried support some as well but for some reason I really enjoy assault, I've tried to get at least some exposure to all classes. As you mentioned you get two grenades as support which is what sucks about assault, only one, better place it well lol.
