you can upgrade a console...but it doesnt do anything but maybe improve loading times and frame rates...every gametype but racers and assassin's creed are better with a mouse and keyboard

No reasons? You gotta come up with something if you gonna talk smack about the PC :D

my ps2 has done almost nothing but play dvd's for the longest time. i can't even remember the last game i played on it.

Seeing as I'm both a PC and console gamer, I'd like to point out that you can play on servers with more than 16 people. And as for upgrading, no need, you already have the equivalent of a top of the line gaming PC.
Can you play your PC with a guaranteed 60 FPS max settings on a 53 inch 1080p plasma TV with 5 booming surround sound speakers around you? Nope? Didn't think so.

:P

Just because you nerf your own experience is no reason to bash PC. If I had a 53 Plasma I would hook my PC up to in a heart beat. However, my audio hardware and headphones are better than most $xxxx 5.1-7.1 surround systems(in sound quality, not volume), so I would see no need to give that up.

As for your point on frame rate.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. There has not been 1 Xbox game YET that looks as good as its PC counterpart AND plays @ 60 FPS. In fact, most of them look worse(by a wide margin) and play at a paltry 25-30 FPS at a measly 1280x720 resolution.... while I am churning 1920x1200 on my 24" LCD with higher rez textures, better shaders AND the option to turn off bloom vomit and motion sickness.(blur and DoF)

I can. Actually, it's 110" and 7.1 surround sound.

And sure, I could play at a guaranteed 60FPS(+) with Xbox360/PS3 level graphics. Not that I would want to, though, since I can make my games look even better by adjusting my graphical settings to levels not available on any console. Not only that, but if I'm still not happy with the level of detail, I have the option of installing graphics enhancing mods (for Oblivion, etc).

Oh, and before you mention it, yes: I can also watch both HD-DVD movies, as well as, Blu-ray Discs in full HD, all in the comfort of my reclining loveseat.

Just because you don't want to invest, doesn't mean it's not available. ;)

my frIend at school keep bringing in thigs that he thinks beats a pc and i keep chucking this sorta stuff back at him. This will keep my pc wins campain agenst his console going for another few days thanks ego. ;) Eventually he will see no comparison.

I don't doubt that you can do a lot better performance-wise on pcs than on consoles. But consoles are a hell of a lot cheaper in comparison.

:pI am not defending console but I will say you can play with 18 people on CoD with it. I like the PC alot though. Ya that's right, me. The Whight Knight, Xbox 360 nerd of the month!

I've long thought of consoles as just stupid computers, I mean how many of them can you even figure out simple mathematics on? They don't even have a calculator. I've never yearned to buy one since SNes.

it depends what you mean by upgrade really... i bought a 320GB hardrive for my Ps3 which wasn't even made by sony and it works fine. and in resistance 2 you can play 60 player matches :)

i despise trying to play FPS on consoles...keyboard/mouse FTW
