pidgin 2.5.5

heyy tech lovers
i ahve jsut installed pidgin 2.5.5, it can be used as an irc client but i have no idea how to set it up to connect to the ego irc server, as there is nowhere to enter channel only the url which is game surge.

any help will be greatly appreciated

With the Pidgin window open go to Accounts, then Manage accounts. Add a new account and have it be for IRC and put all your info in.

the problem is that there is no where to specify which channel you wish to join and as ego has not got its own irc server i need to know how to get on there.

you have to manually join the channel. After you connect, click the global tab and type /join #edgegamers

i found that if you got to buddies then join chat and jsut type in the channel name #edgegamers it works

It means "Internet Relay Chat" and it is basically like a chat room. If you need anymore information just PM me or ask about anyone.
