For Arcade people, the burnout series are great, filled with fun physics and awesome tracks, and also, Mario Cart :D

For Simulation people, rFactor and Project Torque are incredible games

and for you "left turning - High Horsepower NASCAR" people, still project torque (Thunder Alley mode)

my favorite racing game would be MX vs ATV: untamed for the xbox360

just something about it is addicting
 
i enjoyed burnout 3 the most out of all burnouts, i enjoy odd NFS games, very picky with those...
but mostly i love the gran turismo series. i haven't played 4 or 5, don't really want to, im stickin with 3 a-spec. i love that game and im pretty great at it. i've been playing it for years and i know every single corner, the braking points the speed the apex and all, on every track. woot!

but mario kart for super nintendo is probably still one of the best racing games ever
 
NASCAR games are dumb. Why would I wanna turn left for like an hour? -_-'

NFS, and GT were great games.
 
I love me some Xpand Rally when I want a good sim. Nothing like the threat of driving off the edge of the Grand Canyon to keep you on your toes.

As far as arcade goes, Grid freaking rules. It's kind of odd, b/c the driving isn't anything like Burnout or NFS, but it isn't realistic enough to be in the same catagory as Nascar 03'(I know, it sounds lame, but there is a great F1 mod for it) or Xpand Rally. All in all it's a great mix of both that make for some really fun times. Nothing like hauling in an Audi R10 Turbo Diesel.
 
I love most racing games. I want to get that burnout paradise on steam but im too cheap to spend 40 bucks lol. I have most of the Need for speeds, i use to own all of the grand turismos, i own grid, flatout 2, all grand thieft auto's (if they even count as racing games... the have cars and fast speeds so it kinda counts).... lets just say i am a really good driver with any game that includes a car. speaking of driver... i use to own driver and driver 2 for ps1 :P
 
i enjoy some NFS and Burnout games, but yeah, Mario Cart owns them all:P possibly the best racing game of all time?

LOVE Rally racing and that is one of the better ones...Colin McRae Rally racing series is another great racing series. Dirt I believe is the new one out

Yeah, nothing quite like the intensity of a good rally sim. The only major drawback of Xpand Rally is the lack of licensing. Nothing ruins the immersion more than fake car names.:facewall:

Although, that is just about the only thing wrong with it. I love that you are forced to pay for any damage done to your car. Really adds some late race dilemmas. I remember once with a half mile to, I ran my car into a ditch and smashed out every single window on my car. Cost me 1500 euros to fix everything....from a 2000 euro purse. :closedeyes:

Shame it never got the recognition it deserved. Bull crap like Forza that calls itself a sim is too busy infecting the market place.

Oh speaking of which, Codemasters(the guys that made Grid) is working a new F1 sim....the first of which in 8 years! So far they are really taking it seriously. They have arranged meetings with F1 race teams to get track time and record data, and have gotten in touch with Dallara to get as much hard data as possible. If all goes well, we should be having disastrous, realistic, 200 MPH wrecks within the next couple of years.

All NFS Games haha i love them same with midnight club those are really fun :D
 
I was a fan of the NFS series until lately...loved the whole tuning/dyno thing...but Mario Kart is fun as well..nothing beats throwing turtle shells and banana peels are ur enemies xD
