(Jail) The Minimalist Terrorist

I have this strategy that I enjoy. Infact, when it works, it's the most fun I've ever had playing jail. I call it the minimalist terrorist strategy. Basically, you perform the minimal amount of actions for the orders you are given. That's not always true, sometimes I'll do other things to break up the CT's plan, but let's just call it the minimalist terrorist strategy. Remember, as a T, the CT's are not your friends. The way I understand it, is I should be doing everything I can to cause a situation in which the T's can rebel and win.

However, as I'm doing this, I am killed. I believe I was following every order given to me. I'm going to list a couple situations and if the majority says that I was in the wrong, then I'll stop doing it.

Situation #1
Order: Face the far wall.

What I did:

Imagine the blood drops are Terrorists, with the point being the direction they're facing. Should I die in this situation?

Situation #2
Order: Crouch-walk to [area], don't stay still.

What I did: I held crouch and walk, basically exactly as I was told. I kept moving, and observed all time limits. Should I die in this situation?

Usually CTs say "On the wall, and face it", so if they said that, yes I'd kill you.

I don't see how this is doing any less than what you were ordered to do.

In order to fully utilize my strategy, I have to listen hard. The order was 'Face the far wall'. I listened for a 'Go to the far wall'. Never heard it. I died.

Edit: Also, in situation #2, since I was holding both crouch and walk, I was moving incredibly slow, but I was still moving. Had someone said to be someplace before a certain time, I'd speed up and be there. Or, if they had just told me to speed up, I would speed up. I died in this situation too.

I often do the same thing as you. Vague wardens are pretty easy to fool, and when you call a freekill you have a pretty valid argument.

As a CT, I always try my best to give the most detailed orders to stop any confusions and exploits. The better you are at that, the better CT you are.
 
I see how this could be fun if it worked, although I don't know if I am willing to risk a whole round if the CTs are a bit too trigger happy, you know?

Also, this sort of thinking doesn't help as much unless more than one terrorist participates, as a larger group of Ts should make even the Happiest Triggered CTs hesitate.

This is what I like to hear.

Still, if all the Ts are up on the wall, and your strangling behind, it's kind of expected that you're gonna get shot for not being with the group.
 
I kind of expect CT's to listen to their own orders. It's not my fault that I'm not just another brainwashed T. When I started playing, I thought I was supposed to work around the orders to mess up the CT's.

I think alot of people think that this is a roleplaying server or something. It's not. If CT's are gonna ask trivia, where 4 T's are gonna die, T's should do everything they can to stop trivia. If two people can rebel when a question is asked, and maybe kill 2 CT's, then thats less CT's with guns pointed at T's heads. Trivia would be fudged, and no further T's are killed. To me this is common sense.

When I'm a T, I want to win.
 
That is what I do when told to face the wall. I never get killed though. They just say "IG get on the wall." :P
 
i feel for you bro

too many cts free kill because they dont care or they dont listen as closely as you do and its never enforced....exactly why i dont play jail anymore
 
Loopholes in the rules are a terrorists best friend.

Usually if there aren't any other EG members on the server at the time I go CT and am a VERY strict CT for good reason. I make sure there are no loopholes in my rules, and spell out all orders for the given round.

A lot of the time if a CT is giving vague orders I'll start recording a demo and send it to an eG or eGO member for them to check out the demo and then they can do with it what they want.
Otherwise I just make sure to follow the minimal parts of rules given, and if freekilling persists I'll either switch to CT or leave.

Subsection 1: To try to escape and kill the guard (and/or plant the bomb on some maps)

I think the point to my posts are I just want CT's to pay attention to what they're saying. I saw Cryptex get freekilled in a situation that was exactly like my situation #1. The warden said "If all the T's are against the wall then shouldn't you be with them?" (or something similiar), after the fact. The answer is, there was no order to be against the wall.

Like I said, if CT's paid attention, then this game could be really fun.
