aww It would be nice if we could let the ct's be the hostages, but rules are rules. i think its a great idea for you to make the map! Can't wait to play on it!
Before you say anything, yes, I know theres only one way to the next floor. I plan to add additional ways while making it. Also, I know that theres not alot here. It's an office building, you gotta build up. This is the first floor. I havn't decided where to put the door switch yet. And yeah, I just realized that I'm gonna have to do something interesting with the vent to stop CT's from mowing whoevers in there down. I'll fix it.
My main goal with the first floor is to design it so the CT's have to work as a team to contain the T's. As you can see, the T's in the conference room would be just a few second walk to the armory if they're not being watched. I might make it so T's can hide in the conference room, near the door. They could knife any CT's doing a check. Also, I like the fact that the main area of travel is stairs. In a hallway situation, theres not much a T can do. With stairs, he could possibly suddenly jump down a floor and run away.
You might say this is T sided. It really isn't, not the way I'm designing it. Every way of escape has a way for the CT's to counter. The main goal with this map is that you use your head. Both teams.
Sorry about the double post. Highly unprofessional of me.
I was looking around my old map projects, and decided I should provide something so you know what to expect with this hostage thing. I'm posting a map that I was working on over a year or two ago. It was for a zombie server, but it sort of fizzled. The map was called Ubjicagrad. 'Slayer Castle' in english I think. It was a russian bomb shelter created during the cold war, turned into a headquarters for a group of zombie slaying mercenaries.
If you're interested in seeing what I can do, feel free to download it and run around for a while.
