How did you come across eGO?

I had seen a lot of people with the eGO tags on steam so i did a google search to check it out and found this great community

used to play on the old RP avalanche server two or three years back. Been playing on ego servers off and on since then before I joined.

I joined when i was playing on one of our servers, the message came up about free admin. I always liked the idea of looking after servers and helping to keep them ship-shape, so i joined. I havent looked back since.

Old TFC player, got TF2 with the Orange Box in '06 and looked for some 2Fort goodness. Found a nice low ping eGO server and played there. Liked the lack of punks so I kept playing there. Then eGO moved the server or changed the IP or hid it under a rock for a couple days or forgot to water it or something like that and I couldn't find it anymore. So I took some time off from work and hit "refresh all". Two days later when it was finally done; 'lo and behold! there were many eGO servers, all were punk free, all the lawns were green and freshly mowed, and the sun was always shining. So I began to play on eGO servers exclusively.

Pretty soon all of my friends were e's because they joined. And a couple of them (The Machinist and VoiDeD in particular) kept bugging me to join. I didn't want to because I'd been in clans before and really didn't like all the posturing so I held off for a long while. Then one day on 2Forts I was helping PurpleNurple clear the sewers and she walked out in front of an enemy sentry gun...and *squealed* with surprise into her mic as she died. While I found this quite funny (as it's generally the same reaction I have) some bad_pub decided it was laughable for other reasons and started giving Purp some grief over being female. A full eGO (I forget who) put some pretty green letters on the screen saying something like "We have quite a few female players in eGO, if this is a problem, please find another server. Thank you".

Needless to say I was absolutely stunned. The admin wasn't rude or powerhungry but made me feel like the main eGO rule was "don't say/do anything in the server to anyone that you wouldn't say/do if they were standing right in front of you (and could punch you in the nose for it)." So I chatted up some Steamfriends who were members and poked around a bit and asked a couple of other players and came to the conclusion that eGO isn't some clan like most competitive clans but is more of what we used to call a guild back in TFC. Groups like TeamPlayFirst, LegionofFire, our rivals the ArmyofEngineers, WAKO and the Friday Night Fights, PlanetFortress forums; all of this commeradiere I found again in eGO. And at long last I joined.

So to anyone who I have pyroblast-fed their own crit rocket or my axetinguisher has tasted their burning flesh, blame Machinist, VoiDeD, and Purple.

Just came across the DOD:S Flash server. Like the people and joined up.

I was working on Challenges and usually played in HC (Hardcore) servers. I needed a non HC server to work the game type challenges so I sorted servers by ping and eGO was a great ping for me. I started playing and when I saw that there were server rules that were ACTUALLY enforced, I knew I found a home Woot!

Well shortly after tf2 came out i bought it and started playing. A month or 2 after that i stumbled across an ego server i think it was gravelpit. It had similar rules to the css server i used to play on about swearing and whatnot and started playin on the server for a while. I then found the warpath server and fell in love with it. So i hopped onto the website and applied last march.

I jumped straight to eGO... I built a gaming computer, then BlackMesaSouth said to go to these servers. I joined. Simple.

After I joined, I played around on other servers, but none are quite like these, so I don't bother anymore.

Played on the tF2 and DoD S servers a lot, and finally decided to join. After dealing with several other communities and having a lot of the divisions be inactive, finally found one that had a lot of activity.

about 9 months ago i was playing tf2 and came across the old convoy server, i like the people that where playing there and started playing on it regularly for about a week or two...then i saw that they where recruiting and decided to join

searched for dod_flash server and like full servers, so join eGo on numerous occasions, like the environment and asked how to join...scorpion directed me

i joined a week or two before the date on my profile, but when they switched over websites my account was deleted

Convoy in 2008 April I think, was my first eGO experience, I was getting really anoyed with this eG person who was having a conversation with an e, i remember the e's name but not eG, so yea, they were doing what I'd call heavily mike spamming v. naughty, but I stayed cause of the awesome map. In the server browser I was attracted to the unique server names (indented, uses |eGO| Convoy |24/7) i thought they were pretty cool. YES. I found out about eGO because it has cool server identification. but i joined when i heard free admin, gd rules, etc, stayed because of the community spirit and large numbers of servers XD and have not looked back.

I found eGO pretty soon after I'd purchased TF2, (and my PC) and bought DoD and CS because of the clan. eGO turned me into a pc gamer.

actualy i was playing on the noobsalad server and i descided that i would look at their website and it said eGO was one of their freinds so i decided to check it out and i liked it here better

A friend of mine from school (eGO S7R1K3R) and I planned to play some CoD4 together. He told me the IP for our, then, one rotation server. I went there a lot. Over the summer I got TF2 and looked for those servers and started playing there. I asked him if I should join. He gave me the truly supportive response of, "I don't care, do what you want". I joined, and have since then, not regretted it for a moment.
