[EternalGriever]

"We regret to inform you that we are forced to indefinitely suspend the FileFront site operations on March 30, 2009. If you have uploaded files, images or posted blogs, or if you would like to download some of your favorite files, please take this opportunity to download them before March 30th when the site will be suspended."

Well, seeems like now is the best time to download as much as you can from the site.

This news is in every gaming forum all over the internet, sad day indeed when FileFront is finally gone.

Been using it for years now, fast downloads and no need to register.

Sad to see them go because of the current economic situation.

[Legit^]

there are other filesharing sites... but file front was the fastest

[ProwL]

Hopefully this will turn out to be an April fools joke.

[FreakingHell]

I never used it anyways, except maybe once or twice in my whole time gaming.

[[Lucifer]]

Don't shut it down!!!

[Toasteddude]

Aww, that was my favourite mod download site. Does anyone know why they are suspending operations?

[Section-9]

Does anyone know why they are suspending operations?

Their parent company Ziff Davis Media filed for bankruptcy earlier this month http://mashable.com/2008/03/05/ziff-davis-bankruptcy/ and they could no longer afford to pay/maintain the Filefront site any longer. They also owned a bunch of magazines and sites (including www.1up.com which they sold recently to UGO Entertainment.)

[Lance]

Anyone have 48+ TB of hard drive space and a heckuva fast connection?

[BlackJoker]

uhh...just use Gamershell.com............ <_<

[Adam]

Oh well. More will come a long.
