Need help with a Mic problem on Steam etc.

Hey haven't posted in a while so whats up??? But anyways i have this headset that works on EVERY Steam game and any other application but not CS:S. Ive checked my settings over and over and nothing? i almost wanna :chair: the computer. If this has happened to you or you might know how to fix it can you do so??
