Okay, so silly enough, I appear to have actually done the impossible and worn out the Left Click on my pocket mouse :P (http://cgi.ebay.com/HP-USB-Laptop-T...ItemQQimsxZ20090326?IMSfp=TL090326121006r9141)

It was a good mouse. But the Feet eroded off about 6 months ago (taped over that) and now the left click is sort of a dice-roll affair. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.

So I'm looking for a replacement. I know I don't want a microsoft mouse - last one I tried to use, the optics on it were absolutely frustratingly horrible.

I don't know if I should just buy this replacement on eBay or if I should splash out and but something nicer, like the V450 with the nano receiver (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9135893&type=product&id=1218031735130). But is there a really noticeable lag on wireless mice? And would bluetooth be any faster? 3 year warranty sounds helpful, especially when stupid mice feet fall off or wear down to nothing.
 
yess , it is mushy , others may disagree , but unless its a reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally highend mouse , it will be unresponsive , and i gauruntee you will notice coming from a wired mouse , just get wred :)
 
You don't like the Microsoft mice? I love mine! I've had it for four years and it's still going strong (a bit dirty though...)

While I can't speak for that specific mouse, as I've never used it, I can say that the wireless mice I've used have been excellent and have had almost zero lag. That being said, my primary mouse is a MX1000. It is one of the first laser mice that Logitech ever did, and it is a champ. The only time I ever notice lag is when I snipe in TF2. Even then, it is very small, and it doesn't hinder my performance. I find that the cord getting caught on stuff is twice as bad as any lag that I experience.

Are you doing your gaming on this mouse as well? Or is it more of a travel item? I am a big logitech fan, and would recommend them to anyone. Always reliable and have lasted a while. Remember too, if you go with a gaming mouse, it is a lot easier to find replacement feet.
 
Well I am a big Logitech Fan, and simply the last microsoft mouse I used had really bad resolution or something. Just awful.

So I just went ahead drove over to best buy and grabbed a V450 with a $10 off coupon. The receiver is stupid-small and I havent noticed any lag whatsover, still managed to climb the leaderboard and using my Logitech Headset, lead the losing side to a turnaround :P

Range is great. 2.4ghz it will still pick up the mouse from the other side of the house. Maybe you'd notice lag if you were that far away, but my mouse is at most 24 inches away from the receiver when im playing.

The only surface it doesnt work on is my black shiny dining table. I was kinda surprised the HP mouse worked on it too tbh but thats half of why i loved it.

So Im not feeling too bad about the purchase at all right now :laugh:
 
Glad you like it! I think I'm going to get that or the VX nano when I get my laptop this summer.
 
Mmmm G7. I've had my G7 for a few years now. Batteries still recharge to full I think and I've replaced the feet once with an extra replacement set sitting around. I've also checked against the G5 and there was no noticeable difference in response time.
 
dont know if i like the laser on this, thats the thing. when im using it on my lap, like i always do, the mouse moves at half the sensitivity as if it were on the desk :/ thats kinda annoying.

i like the mouse that hp shipped with my pc. no professional mouse or nothing, but it grips well in the hand, and it's for left or right hand too :):)
