Serious TF2 Ishhooo!

Okay so TF2 runs with nice FPS and such, but just today, on any server I play on, I notice alot of occasional laggy things:

EXAMPLE:

-A medc jumps and freezes in midair before warping back to the ground where he landed.

-I walk into a new area of granary and the whole blu team is froze for a split second before warping to where they really are.

Also, it happens alot when I get close to someone, or in close quarters combat.

To let you know:
-I have like 90 ping on the servers
-I have restarted my comp
-I have restarted my modem
-I never had this happen before and I changed nothing, in fact, was playing this morning and was fine
-Cheese tastes very good, especially provolone
-I do have a router.

It sounds like a problem I've had before. Type these commands in console and see what they're set at

rate
cl_updaterate
cl_cmdrate

rate= 10000
cl_updaterate= 20
cl_cmdrate= 30

And I know this is the problem because I was just playing on a server that had this message saying "Bad preformance on this 32x server? Type in blah blah" and I typed in like rate 60000 or something, it fixed everything, but I know its only temporary, I know I have to edit some kind of file, right?

be carefull if you edit files, make a back up of the original

Yea, those are a a little low. And actually, once you type in what they change to, they save generally. But sometimes they get set to something lower then they should for one reason or another

Try these rates.

rate 25000
cl_updaterate 67
cl_cmdrate 67

Those rates should be fine for our servers. If you wanted to, you could put the cl_updaterate and the cl_cmdrate up to 100 if you'd like, but our servers will lower them while you play.

Note: The New Multicore Update Causes These Issues If You Have Multiple Processors/Cores Please Enable Multicore You Will Regain Fps If Not Get More
