They also allow the "Need a hot date tonight, call us and have fun" commercials, yet you aren't going on a "date".
 
I never went to that site because there are easier ways to fix a slow computer then to go to a website. Windows has plenty of tool. And in the end you computer may be acting slow because... well it is slow. Like when all XP sp1 users got updated to sp2 and suddenly a whole lot of people had slow computers because Xp sp2 took up twice as much resources as SP1.

I would suggest if you computer slow, you probably have something else you need to get rid of that is hiding. So format and reinstall.
 
Simply taking your computer, opening it up and blowing out the dust will make it faster by a little bit.
 
that too.. i have gotten good at taking laptops apart to clean out the heatsinks. You would be amazed what a good laptop heatsink spring cleaning can do for performance.

I am with you too. I do not understand people with toolbars that cover half of their screen.

To add to the toolbar comment, I love how every thing now comes with it's on IE/Firefox toolbar. Why?!
 
There are lots of ways computers slow down that a reinstall is just way more work than is needed. Such as whenever you install a program it leaves a trace in teh registry. Soon enough your registry becomes bloated with useless links to programs that have moved around and files that are crazy fragmented. Things like CCleaner can increase performance by a lot when it's first used. Also a good defrag occasionally helps too.
 
I can't believe how many people get doop'd by stuff like this. Well, I can actually. I swear my father-in-law gets hit by that 'VIRUS ALERT! CLICK HERE TO FIX!' probly twice a year.

Wow that video proves the fraud even more. I mean you only get that kind of customer service from Nigerian widow banker customer service agents.. WTH?? A real company wont ask.. "well why did you call then" etc...

Also weird how she acted after he asked if they are part of Apple... and Macs are in the commericals.. it's a huge virus conspiracy!
 
I work in customer service and you will hear some customer service people say that. I know most of us in Tech support want to say that sometimes.
 
Yeah, the comercial reminds me of another comercial a while back for a virus program where all of the actor in it spoke accented or broken english. My only thoughts when I watched it was, "There is something seriously wrong about this."
