Look I don't want people to take this the wrong way but their is a lot of useless mic chatter. I know eGO is a very social clan and I'm not saying its a bad thing.Its expected I know, but on the Highschool server which is generally populated by mostly Ego members is kind of annoying. I don't want to mute people because of unbinding a flashlight key and complaining about it because later in the round they might have something important to say. I am team oriented, I want to get all info of movements possible but chatter about stuff like what I mentioned above just is pure blah and it conflicts with what could be a round winning piece of info. I'm not saying to stop it all completely but I mean when the round is on and your not dead just try and keep it to a minimum.

As a general rule of thumb, the best time to discuss generic topics is when you are dead. I think what Scary is relaying is when everyone respawns keep the mic chat focused on gameplay and the chit chat to a minimum.

It doesn't really bother me much but when you are trying to talk about clearing a room or rushing an area or needing support it is annoying to "stepped on" by people talking about their favorite pokeman or a new video card they got installed.

But it is what it is.

2) if it really bothers you ask em to stop
3) if they dont mute them

Guilty, I love to chat. One thing i do though is i dont have my mic send volume really high, also to avoid annoying chatter affecting game play (ie footsteps) turn the game volume way up and the mic recieve volume down.

But i do understand where you are coming from, i will talk about something, then randomly spurt some usefull info.

2 days into eGO and im getting in toruble.

well your right, sometimes chatter is funny but sometimes its just annoying like when little kids just talk and talk and talk and I cant hear anything :facewall:

honestly i don't care whatsoever i play in our servers to have FUN and TALK to the friends i have in eGO so i don't really mind.

Gets you on your toes and makes you pay attention- without all the chatter.


When things start to get real crazy I just select all and mute in the Player List.

ya they really should appoint a warden, and then you don't need to listen to any other CT or somethin
theres time to have fun and time to be serious, each person may differ in the times which is why mute is available. i for one love to make noises and fool around a bit, which anybody that plays dust knows, but i also get serious and plea for people not to try to leave long - die - and then its left open!
