Quick Question here guys,

I was just wondering if egypt was or has HLStatsX activated on that 24/7 server...only reason I ask is that when I am on it and I kill someone, I dont see how many points I get for that kill...Does anyone know why it would not be activated on that server, just a question guys...no biggie, thx in advance.

Egypt has it. It's just for some reason hlstats goes down for a little while; happens on all servers I think.

Candlejack is right, sometimes HLstatsX are down for unknown reasons, it happens at the dustbowl stages too, it can be for just a couple of minutes, or even 2 days.

Time to forget the stats and go for the fun I would advice you

Thats not the issue here.
Some of our servers just have HLXstats announcements turned off. some of our servers have it turned on.
Egypt has its stats turned on, you just don't see it.
type "rank" in all chat if you want to see how you're doing.

i agree though, don't get me wrong i like to see my stats (slowly (read: very slowly)) climbing... but i feel way better in servers where they don't show.

even if i lost 10,000 points. i wouldn't care. it doesn't make me any better, or any worse. i know that at some things i'm awesome, and at some things i suck. i play for fun.

Seeing stats is a double edge sword for me. It is nice when I kill people with a lot of points, but I don't like donating my points to other people. ie someone with 2000 points kills me and they steal 25 from me, but when I kill them I take 2.

I like playing on Egypt because I focus more on having fun than getting frusterated when I donate points to other players.

Well this is not really the point for me, when I see someone give me 25 points...like maddhatter...LOL love making him rage quit, I chase him around and try and kill him as often as I can, not particullarly because I want the points, but because I like the challange of killing a good player. I dont mind if I die countless times in the act of trying to kill this guy, its just fun to do. In other words, I use the points to show me how good the player is, the higher the rank the more points obviously...I just like knowing who im chasing after next.

i've had it happen thrice, and it pissed me off all 3 times.
not for the points really, just the idea that those times where not my fault (other than the time i healed the spy who backstabbed someone (but i didn't know he was a spy at the time))
