just wondering did any1 get this virus, cause i think it was just a hoax put on by the government to get people to spend money on useless protection for there computer.

but i just wanted to make sure everyone's computer is alright

He didnt strike i heard on CBC, and if you think you are infect go on some Antivirus website, if you cant go there do some scan.
if you cant load it, Scan you computer.

Well, I'm from over in the CS:S division. Yes, it exists...over ten million got infected. My desktop got it , it has to be totally reformatted. After yesterday, if you had the virus, your computer is dead. Before yesterday the virus was inactive, so it was easy to get rid of. However, April 1st was the execution date for those who still had it....including my PC . Hope no one else got it here, wish me luck

It certainly wasn't a hoax.
My ISP's bandwith was up 17% regionally come midnight due to the virus' instructions to search online

this is a free scan from windows which is helpful for any pc...but the virus was not a hoax. as long as you can use windows update website your should be fine. my isp at work was down for half the day yesterday.

my work computers were down till tomorrow cause my brigade didnt link and update so they gotta wait for someone to come fix it XD,
but no my computer wasnt damaged, GO CA! lol.

some good AVG free 8.0 is all you need my PC is fine and the government didn't make me spend a cent

It didn't cause the catastrophes people expected, but I think it was a good "wake up call". Anti-Virus software (quality software!) is important.... even if it may not seem like it. Especially for those of you that download a lot of material, or browse "questionable" websites. Much like they teach in Sex Ed.... using protection is the safest way to go.

yeah i heard of conficker but i didnt get it and dont know anyone who has. i heard the it mainly hit countries like Brazil China and India. So we are a bit sfer over here in America.
