So my xbox 360 was flashing 3 red lights on the front which i know is bad..... but it stopped and hasn't done it for over 4 months. Will it come back? Thanks for any help

Um, from my experience with the xbox 360 (don't own, played on friends), I believe that only means the system is over-heating. A full ring means hardware malfunction.

Correct me if I'm wrong though, don't wanna give false information.

This is based of memory, but the RRoD was based on hardware failure from certain structure parts melting and causing things to fall apart. That's not necessarily what the code means though. I'm lazy and wiki is so far away.

No 1 ring is over heating.


What could have caused your RRoD is 1) not fully connected cables and 2) it felt like having a fake-out (I've had 1 and my heart stopped).

Just take good care of your xbox 360 (keeping it well ventilated, not keeping it on for a week straight and the such, you should be fine.

Are you using the Nyko Coolling system? The thing that goes on the back as an extra fan. If so...take it off. They go faulty after a while.
