I am without my gaming computer for the weekend, so I will be here, on our forums, alot more then usual! While I am here I wanna bring up a couple minor things I have been thinking about but not big enough to start a whole post:

1) Wouldn't it be cool for us to be able to sign up for [email protected]? I mean, I don't know anything about doing email thingies or making them or whatever so I dont even know if its possible, but that would be so cool for our members to have eGO emails!

2) I'd like to know people opinions on combat medic. I might want to branch out from healing and learn to defend myself on my own better when I play medic, and maybe if its fun enough I can do combat with it. Discuss?

3) I play medic. ALOT. I was thinking, if it's needed (because I know alot of people will shoot this idea down thinking medic is really easy class) I, with help of other medics, would like to write a guide to playing medic! It would be cool. Good medics are always needed :P

4) Engineer achievements: JUICY! I WANT THEM! Tell me what you think they will be :P

5) GTA4, is it any good?

6) Getting promoted from e to eG, how long did it take you?

7) Pyro, worthless? Easy mode? Watcha think about this class!

And that concludes that. It's a lot of small topics all jumbled into one big post (I dont like flooding forums). Dont feel compelled to respond to each, but feel free to respond to as many as you wish :)

2) Don't play battle medic unless you find it fun to uber with another medic and see how long you can keep that going. Just heal people, they can kill faster than you. If you're in a situation where you absolutely must fight, pull out your ubersaw and take them out with you.

4) Kill 20 teammates with your sentry.

7) Fun, especially when there's a ton of them rushing together. People should kritz more pyros :)

Do not combat medic 100% of the time. At most, 10%. Combat medic is a waste of a slot, and not a credit to team.

There are a lot of medic guides out there. If you feel your voice is needed for it, go for it. But wait until you not only done 32 slot, but also 24 slot and mabye some competitive tf2 servers before writing a guide. The only players who read guides, especially obscure ones, are players who seriously play tf2, and moslty on 24/scrim slots. Oh, and have a LOT of hours, experience is the best teacher.

1) Are you referring to IM's? We already have PM's through the site and you can feel free to put your e-mail, skype, myspace, facebook, etc.
2)Combat Medic is more for the lolz. Maybe if you're just messing around, like if its late at night and you want to fill a server, you can see who else wants to do it, I got Broccoli to do it with me (although the rest of his team didn't)
3)Woodstock (according to himself, I've never seen him) love to play medic. Try talking to him(?)
4)Just wait for Valve to get to them. Its most likely going to be him or Demoman after Sniper
5)I have no idea.
6)Depends. I know one guy, Dark Fenix, (who is sadly no longer here because his Steam account got hacked :( ) got promoted in about 4 days. I was promoted in about 4 months. Depends on how active you are in Forums, In-Game, and how much you contribute to the clan. Stay active and if you REALLY want it, like you're dieing for it, try to be noticed (don't try and get attention by being stupid, that's already been done by several people, one of them was most likely me).
7)He's fun, so long as a heavy doesn't see you coming in a big open space. You gotta be tricky and ambush, preferrably in close quarters. Evil Daedalus (youtube) has some nice (though outdated) videos on spy, pyro, scout (a 2-part on scout actually), and engineer.
Does that help at all?

1. Yeah, I'd do it. But, really, PM's work just fine for me, and in conjunction with my gmail account I'm all set.

2. Practice with the Blutsauger and Ubersaw. They maximize survivability (health drain) and utility (quicker uber charge) while still keeping you a medic to your team, not an lolchaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge kind of medic, who has no intents on healing.

3. Talk to Woodstock.

4. Search for "engineer" in titles of posts in this forum. You'll find plenty of info.

5. It's GTA, if you like GTA games, you'll like it for sure. Nothing too drastically different or new here, but it's a very good game to be sure.

6. This is the question you really wanted the answer to, I can tell. Just sneak it in there after a few dummy questions and then it won't be so obvious.... ;) Trust me, just don't ask. Do your best for the community each and every day, whenever you can. Live by the golden rule in the servers and, when that doesn't work (and it won't always, trust me), have lots of G's and O's in steam friends to call on at a moment's notice. Don't try to get noticed; you either are a great candidate for a G and you WILL be noticed, or you aren't and you won't. There's no trying in there, you either got it or you don't.

7. Not easy mode if you want to go past W+M1. It's fun spychecking and flanking with the backburner, but try juggling an uber with the airblast, or reflecting rockets and demo nades away from a friendly engi, or airblasting a soldier off C on gravel pit, or lighting up a heavy and taking him out with a single axtinguisher swing instead of flaming him for 5 full seconds, hoping he doesn't turn Sasha on you and tear you up in .0001 seconds. Now THAT'S being a good pyro.

2) To me, medics are one of the most important and one that's easy to get good at, but hard to get great at. you have to know when to get out of a hairy situation and when to stay 'cause you have a chance. These split-second decisions can sometimes decide whether you cap the point or not.

6) it's different for everybody. Depends on how active you are on the forums, on the servers, how friendly you are, and how well you communicate with people inside eGO and outside of our circle. But the number 1 thing you have to worry about is how much fun you have while you're an "e" 'cause once you're "eG" you have to do a lot of extra stuff. But remember that in every rank ("e" "eG" and "eGO") our #1 goal is to have an enjoyable gaming experience that is not interrupted by "punks" and if an aforementioned punk decides to barge in on your fun time, God help them.

1) setting up an email server & doing all that jazz I don't feel would be necessary, pm's work fine & its be too much of a hassle to make emails for thousands of players.
2) 2 skilled medics can run a chain uber darn near an entire map with a little luck, it can be quite effective + its a lot of fun
3) playing a medic is easy, playing a medic well isn't :)
4) IDK
5) IDK
6) go to s3rv0 #6, he says it well
7) it has its uses, airblast can be a round saver

3) Uber Cicatriz exclusively.

You've just learned how to be a great medic. Congratulations .

Yea if you want to be a fail medic go ahead and do that. If you want to be the best medic ever, uber the spy that backstabs cicatriz.

Took me about 2 weeks.

I'd have to agree combat medic 100% of the time would be useless. When I play medic (and thats rare :D) I heal as much as I can. If I'm by myself I'm not afraid to pull out the needle gun and go at it or even my ubersaw but if theres other combat classes around. I heal and let them take care of the problems.

GTA4 any good? Its probably the best of the GTA series.

Pyro wrothless? Perhaps in some situations but it does take skill to be a good pyro. Pyro isnt easy mode as alot of people think.

Yea if you want to be a fail medic go ahead and do that. If you want to be the best medic ever, uber the spy that backstabs cicatriz.
Or if you wanna be a good medic, be the one who stabs Cicatriz YOURSELF!

P.S: Don't forget to taunt and laugh!

Actually @Servo, lol, that wasnt the main question :P I was wondering about combat medic most haha. I just thought about it while writing just to be curious. Myself, im in no rush to be promoed, e or eG youre still in the eGO clan and thats good enough for me!

1) If it was simply a reroute to your own email address this wouldn't be hard, and actually might be a nice idea for promotion: eGO GET YOUR OWN EMAIL FORWARDING ADDRESS! [email protected] nice.. I belong to another tf2/l4d/css communitee (before i came here) that gave you a forwarding address if you were a donater. so this could also be an idea for bringing revenue for eGO.

6) about 2 weeks i guess. But the best thing is to not worry about it. the best thing you can do is just play and have fun. and take the time to read the stickies that are available to you so you know how our organization works.

7) No class is pointless, or worthless
