In case you haven't checked the calendar, I thought I'd remind people that, after a short hiatus, TF2 scrims will be restarting tomorrow night. Initially, we'll be starting with the more basic events as we get things ratcheted into higher gear. "Events Relaunch Episode VI: Return of the Scrims", which will happen tomorrow at 8pm EST, will just be a basic reintroduction of the events program. We'll do 30 minutes on a Valve Map, then 30 minutes on a custom map. It'll just be a laid back, play some TF2 with eGO members sort of affair - nothing fancy.
For the rest of the week, we have on the schedule:
As you can see, we're trying to keep some of the old favorites while also mixing in some new stuff. We'll also be making an effort to schedule some events earlier in the day every so often our members in the non-American timezones have a chance to make events. As always, passwords are listed in the sticky as well as on the Steam calendar.
Also, one of the things you'll see changing is that the Advisors in charge of the Event Coordinators (ScrappyDoo and myself) are going to start stepping back and letting the various eGOs on the team run events. In the "Upcoming Event Information" sticky, you'll start seeing the names of the person (or people) who is running the event. While Scrappy and I will certainly be available to help out, these will be the people you need to listen to for instructions.
This is just the basic news for the moment. The team has several other things that are in the planning stages which you'll hopefully start seeing make it onto the calendar shortly.
