good headsets?

I very much enjoy the plantronics headset below. soft on the ears, doesn't hurt my head, sound is good. Has option of analog or usb, I use analog, so I can't speak for the USB aspect. Would recommend.

Edit: forgot my favorite part! The earpieces are not fixed to the rest of the headset, they are on a ball and socket like joint that allows them to tilt 360 degrees. Tough to explain in words, but it makes it so it fits true to the shape of your head, instead of digging in like I have experienced in some logitech headsets. Not something you might look for in a headset, but I love it.

They are definitely worth the money.

They are worth the money, while they are working.
But they break easily, my friend has one and the mic broke on it. It doesn't attach properly anymore. There are a lot of bad reviews on this headset too, they aren't too reliable so I don't recommend.

These are much better, definitely go for this headset ;)

well, really any head set would be good? I would recommend turtle beach headsets as they are excellent quality, although they arnt all that cheap, they are definatly worth the money. (And they sponsor eGO!) Sometimes if your low on money its just better to get some tatty earphones and one of those really cheap microphones.

I also have the same headset as Ryken. It's very comfortable on the ears. I can wear it forever and it won't bother me at all. The sound is also as clear as possible.

Great headset for a cheap price. It may not look like the typical fancy gaming headset but it gets the job done.

ive been looking around for some headets that are not to expensive, im shopping for somthing thats a step up from my ipod headphones lol.

are these good options? do you guys have any other suggestions? What is the logitech pair that everyone has that i hear is good?

I'm using the GameCom Pro from your first link. It fits comfortably, with good sound and bass. The mic works fine too. Good headset for <$20 range. I haven't worn anything around this price range that sounded better and was comfortable to wear for hours. People have suggested getting the "USB" version of this headset and said they were perfect. However the USB version is around $50.

Word of caution though, these headsets have looonnng wires. I suggest you wrap the wires so you don't run them over. Had these for a month now, and i'm completely satisfied. I'm sure it will last me a long time since I'm taking all the precautions to not rip the cord (major flaw in a lot of the cheap headsets).

If your not an "Audiophile" these headsets are good enough, seriously.

I bought me myself the Sennheiser HD 555 and I love them. The only downside is though I bought a Zalman mic and I guess no one can hear me.

I'm gonna go ahead and put in a recommendation /against/ SteelSound's

I got them, thinking of course that they'd be a high quality gaming product.
For the most part that was true the mic was (and still is decent quality) and the headphones were quite good (although not very noise cancelling) but after about 4 months of regular usage the right speaker started working spastically (it had to be in a particular position to work)

Then when simply readjusting the headset the right headphone broke off.
A former clanmate also had the right earphone stop working, he had them replaced on warranty and it happened to the new pair as well

Overall unless you want to end up using them for nothing but the microphone, or waste your time babying them, like me, don't waste your money.

turtle beach is awesome (really awesome). but god forbid they break, took 2 weeks for me to get a reply about my rma...

steal series (like walmart said) has really good stuff, not as expensive as other top of the line ones.
