Hacker going around Steam - 4/6

Today, rockon5622 was hacked along with quite a few others we believe. Do not go to any sites referred to you that look like a Steam page. the real Steam page is https://steamcommunity.com/, so any variation of this is most likely false.

These sites will take your name and password which will give them access to your account. They can use credit card, email, and other information u have on Steam.

The most common alibi they will have is for "Free Steam games" or something similar. From what I saw this one may involve a group you are to join, but I'm not sure.

I think the group is called Rock's homes or something similar

Please don't be mean to people that have been hacked. It can happen to the best of us. I myself was hacked a few months ago - it wasnt fun.

Didn't believe it for 1 second. The .tk and 33 kind of gives it away.

Went to the site that Goretex showed, came up blank with this thing about Web hosting.

So i'm not sure if the site is on anymore. Don't think so

This is a site hijacking accounts yes I know it may be your friends account but do not click it.

This person is using these addresses to phish peoples steam accounts I am contacting steam as of now about this I think it would probably be of your best interest to remove any site with this type of address.

He tried it on me, during Monday Madness when I was done playing Far Cry. I played a long a bit and said ok. I went to the site and was about to enter my info in when I remembered I could just join it through Steam. I went to his profile, I saw no new group. I asked him what it was called and he said "Rock's Homies" (I don't know how to bring the conversation from some folder or whatever). I told him I couldn't find it, he said he just made it so it might take awhile. I rebooted my computer, and when I got back I decided to ask him a question to see if he had been hacked or not. I looked for him, but he wasn't there. He had removed himself from my friends list and from all groups he belonged to and he was offline. That was enough for me. I warned Lordvader77 about this (I would've done this but I had to be somewhere by 7 and I wasn't 100% sure yet), and told him to issue a general warning to the people at Monday Madness to be careful of Rockon, so thanks cuz for doing that. This is the second time I can remember that a big hacking thing went around, last time several people got hacked (including Lordvader77) and one is still gone, Dark Fenix. So it can not be stressed enough, PLEASE be careful, don't believe that there are free Steam games and such. And if you do get hacked, quickly take the proper steps to get your account back, have your CD-Keys handy because you will need those. Thank you.

ya, getting your account 'jacked really sucks. I really want to get DarkFenix back, he was really cool. I could if I had a mySpace account, cause then i could tell him. No one deserves to get hacked

im sure by now u know who this is but im not here to cause probs just to track there sob's and i still have friends at ego and i dont want them to get there stuff hacked also
