That was pretty wicked spying right there Dingo. Nice revenge kill too and spotting the enemy spy! Now I can see what the person stabbing me sees when they are laughing at me behind their monitor lmao.

Damn...

Damn! :P

That's very well done.

sometimes you had even me confused if you was blu or red :P
Big applauds...!

No, its very smooth when I play the problem is that for some reason the FRAPS program lowers my FPS down to about 10-15 ...I have absolutely no problem playing the game. Which is why im currently looking for a diff program to replace the FRAPS that I have.

not bad, But try getting those kinds of kills on a 32 man server that is full. :) thats when you know your a great spy :) still good vid though

ah ok good lol

I was gonna say you are REALLY good for doing all that with that FPS rate on a regular basis hehe

ah, I'm relieved that none of these are me. Nice kills, and realistic, not like lots of videos that show one or two kills and then switch. You had some good sprees.

it was a full server, it was our very own valve maps server thank you very much which is y i posted it...I read this same message on a diff thread and decided Id post another of my vids. Ask any eGO member whos name you saw on that vid, it was full.

Hard to watch with the crappy fps :P.

Can't really tell how good the spying is, but knowing you it's good.

Alright Frisky. You asked for it. I watched all 4 videos and wrote quite a bit of commentary for you. It's all constructive, both the criticism and the compliments, and a laugh or two sprinkled in. Sorry if some is repetitive, but I tried to point out everything I could that I thought might help you. If it does, great. If not, maybe it'll ehelp another spy watching this.

So, here's my commentary, sorted by which video it's from and the time. Enjoy!

Feeling Frisky:

2:15 - Can't believe you got away from that pyro. That's 1 part bad pyro, 2 parts excellent maneuvering so he wouldn't know where you went.

2:25 - That poor poor soldier. Running in for ammo and HP and gets poked right at the last second before he gets inside spawn. Schadenfreude!

3:15 - You get behind a lot of enemies here. I know, in a spy frame of mind, that's just "YUM YUM YUM STABSTABSTABSTAB!", but obviously after your first stab, you had some issues getting behind that demo. Tunnel vision happens as spy, when you're so focused on getting something you forget what's really going on around you. If the cart wasn't right there, needing to be pushed, I'd say you should have pulled back and gone up those stairs cloaked, regrouped, and come back down. If your team's push failed, the cart was so close, you could quick spycap it maybe before people could react. I've seen this at other points in your videos (the tunnel vision that is). You're an awesome spy, but half the battle is knowing when to just retreat for 5, 10, 15 seconds or more and save yourself that long time respawn waiting and running back, re-infiltrating, etc.

All Aboard:

1:45 - There you go! You missed the stab on the heavy, pyros right there, and you got away from what would have surely been a death, even if you maybe would have gotten the heavy if you kept stabbing. Better to try again on your own terms. Granted, the same thing happened in this case, you got the heavy and the pyro got you, but you can know your execution was awesome, you engaged on your own terms, and didn't let yourself get rushed by a stressful situation. Way to keep your cool!

2:50 - Wow @ that pyro. Good move by you going into that corner and letting him pass, that maneuver is far underused. I still remember the first time I did that, it was on the spiral going down to intel on dustbowl, in the enemy base. I cloaked going up it, two engis right behind me all pissed off 'cause I blew up their stuff. As soon as I was fully cloaked, I crouched in the corner on a turn in that spiral, and they both ran right by me! I decloaked, ran down, and sapped the rest of their stuff. :D!

3:30 - If you're set on fire like this, best to retreat. I'm surprised this worked out as well as it did for you, you got a stab, but that soldier should have stopped you. When your cover is blown, best to back off and, like I've said, go back in on your own terms. You may have been able to get behind that group coming from their spawn, and without a soldier and who knows who else chasing you, nailed 2, 3, maybe even more backstabs.

3:45 - Prioritize the pyros as targets in this case. That heavy was in back, but pyros nearby are a certain doom if you stab when they're not, at least, directly in front of you (one of them was about 90 degrees to your right, so fairly likely to see you as he's W+M1'ing around.) This one is tough to call a bad play, because you did do it right, but obviously things didn't work out well for you. Spy is a lot of luck, as well as skill. I probably would recommend next time letting those pyros rush forward a bit more, then you can safely get the heavies, and maybe a nearby pyro, with a knife or a revolver. Or, you can let them go, thinking they've got 4 members in the area pushing to a point, when really they have only 2! You can move towards the spawn then, knowing a chunk of the team's pyros are far away. Keep thinning out their numbers that way, giving your team an offensive power-play.

4:05 - Heehee, gonna try to take on that medic/soldier when they just watched you stab their buddy in the back? Heheh, a wise retreat. Otherwise it would have been a stupid suicide, or at best a lucky backstab on one of them.

4:20 - I'd hit that medic first, then just come up after he's dead and nail the guy he was healing. With them going onto a point I'd be afraid of them deploying an uber, then you're just screwed for a while. Plus medics are always high-priority targets because they're so so important to any offensive (and most defensive) strategies, and there's rarely "more than enough" medics; usually they're sparse, so taking one out really hurts a team.

Come Get Some:

0:30 - 1:00 - Got some premature stabs in here. Sometimes they move, but it looks like you jumped the gun a bit on the heavy pushing the cart. Don't drop that disguise til you have to!

1:25 - Ahhh! I could see in the vid that that medic had an uber! TAKE HIM OOOOOOOOOOUT! The heavy is a threat, but he's obviously distracted. There is NO greater glory in spyhood than nailing a medic with an uber ready and waiting to be deployed. Denying them that uber at the right time really is the single best way you can cripple a team's offensive or defensive abilities with a single button click. You could have gotten that medic, cloaked, and, if the heavy took out your teammate battling him over there, gotten behind him (the heavy) and stabbed him as well.

1:45 - Again, get the medic get the medic get the medic get the medic! His target won't even realize that you're there most likely, so you can continue on to him afterwards.

2:10 - Very well played. Sap the sentry for just long enough to take out the snipers, then retreat. So what if you didn't get the gun, that engi who knocked off your sapper is gonna be spy-paranoid for like 20 minutes after seeing you make a nice play like that. He'll waste his time spychecking everything and camping that gun that's really not going to be that useful to his team. Might as well just let him keep it there.

2:30 - Perfect. No-one saw you, don't bother freaking out and trying to run away or anything. Stay cool, redisguise, and there's no need to re-insert yourself behind the enemy, you're still there! Just be wary, the engi will be yelling at his team soon enough that you were there, so don't take your time picking and executing your next target. You didn't, so that's good.

2:35 - The heavy got a medic right at the end, so you were already right on him ready to stab before you could have known the medic was there. However, you should be looking behind you in that situation so you know what's going to happen after that stab. If there's no one there, you can stab quickly and redisguise without hitting your cloak. IF there's 10 guys, you may want to hold off, reposition, etc. In this case, looking behind might have let you get the medic, the heavy, and possibly more.

Had Enough:

0:20 - Epic facestab while on fire.

0:40 - Epic facestab #2.

1:00 - Nice misdirection on that getaway. A must-have spy technique; without it, your cloak is almost worthless.

3:40 - Very observant of you on that scout. His health was at 50%, and he looked like he was moving too slow. Those are two huge red flags that that dude's a spy, and counter-espionage is just as important as...well..regular espionage.

4:00 - Good retreat. There were more possible targets, but again, don't get greedy, don't get tunnel vision, go back in on your own terms. You got a sniper as a reward for your wise retreat, though unfortunately people were still too close behind you trying to find you, so yeah, they were all "omg spy! pewpewpewpewpewpewpepwepwpep!" Still good execution though, though you may have checked behind you before hand and let those guys pass before you got the sniper, or got them after they went through, and/or after you got the sniper.

--------

That's all I got for you. Hope it helped, the videos were entertaining, and you're a very good spy. :thumbup1:
