Hello eGO:

I was just wondering on your opinions for the iPhone or the Ipod touch. Keep in mind the price differences. I currently, for all wondering, I have the iphone and use it a lot for business. (especially on boring plane rides LOL). So shoot me with your opinions please, and maybe what you like best about It and why you like it more.
Thanks:

Dont know why this is in the DoD thread but...

I like the ipod touch better. I think you can call people through VOIP.

Yeah i got the iphone and i think its just the daddy of all phones lol you cant beat it as Apple constantly update but its better than the iPod touch simply because of the phone feature :D

qft.

I have an iPod touch... First gen.. Bought it when it was $500 >.>
And I have a normal cell phone (LG Rumour). Works fine for me.

I also bought the first gen iPod touch at $500...but returned my old ipod and upgraded to the touch. No volume buttons, microphone, only WiFi, no monthly payment, or camera on the touch...but after a while it just became a radio for my car. i hardly play games on them but they are fun for a while.

i got gen1 ipod touch, too. i found out on a roadtrip that it's smaller and easier to manage than a laptop for email and simple web browsing.

i'd like to get a newer ipod touch so that i'll have a speaker, and more room for crap. i've only got 16gb ><

Sushi hit it on the head. I have the iPhone and can't live without it. It is my primary business tool. I don't have to miss anything. Plus my eGO PM's go to it so I am never without my friends WOHOO.

i finally jailbroke my ipod touch 1g this weekend and found a new found love with this thing. much more fun when its jailbroken and more apps

itouch sucks cause it needs a active internet source to download things :( but if they would upgrade it to use the cell towers signals it would be so much more popular :)

I have an iPod Touch and a 3G iPhone. I use them both, daily. The iPod Touch is my primary "media" viewer for videos. I fly a lot for my work and my iPhone is my primary means of communicating. Unfortunately, the battery life is abysmal on the 3G version (wasn't great on the 2G version I had prior). With 3-4 hours of DAILY talk time for me, I can't afford to use the iPhone to watch movies while I fly or I'll have no juice for my work stuff. So I load up the Touch with my movies and use that on the plane, and then use my iPhone for everything else including music. I usually keep one or two playlists' worth of songs on the Touch as well as audiobooks.

Works pretty well for me. Too bad I can't get enough battery life on the iPhone to use it for everything.

Oh and I jailbroke the Touch....so I get the best of both worlds now.
