Steam issues.

all of a sudden i have a virus in my comp and i kno its not removed, i did a million scans and didnt remove it. its called "SPRY_16" or something liek that... and after i got that i noticed i couldnt log onto steam...

so i try to log on and it says my pass is wrong, i checked and retyped i in 6 times. didnt connect. i did account recovery and steam says they sent email to me. i check for the emails, and theres none to be found... i tryed to get my acct info useing my email address and they said it wasnt on record.... so im following these steps from the steam website. and im running around in circles on there page. they say click "support" i clicked they say "hijacked acct click here" i did. then they say click supprt again... and it keeps repeating over and over.

Did you get any texts for emails recently asking for your account info? Lately there has been alot, and I mean ALOT of accounts getting hacked and stolen. Only trust emails from steampowered.com

i havnt recieved any emails of any kind except some from xfire (which is normal) and my grandma (which is normal) + my scholarship websites (which is normal) so i think that entire step of gettin the info from me was skipped they just took it...

Do you have a different computer you can request help from? If your current computer is compromised, which it sounds like it is, I would try to contact support from a different PC. Plus I would avoid logging into any site where you put in personal information until your infection is cleaned (could have a key logger on there).

i would format your hard drive if all else fails
in the mean time, maybe try to instal a good anitvirus and run a complete scan and try to get rid of it

i think i have to reformat, but im waitin on my new harddrive to come in so i can atleast transfer alllllll my 10k+ songs.

also, how does a key logger steal info if steam auto logs on for me... i only typed in the info 1 time and ever sense its just and auto log on.

I check my email Once every 2 - 3 months . but in the four years i have had steam ive never really seen so many accounts being stolen or hackedas much as this . but i would recomend doing what the others have said . .unless the account is already hijacked . if it is already hijacked i would go to a different computer and ask for help . they can get ur account back
