holy....

We played that map at the event meeting on Wednesday! It's pretty fun, both teams have to race to get their payload to the end..

How eGO got their hands on it we'll never know. We're just that good.

What happens if they both get to the center at the same time? Wouldn't the proximity of both teams stop them from moving?

yes, although I think there will be some method of stopping this... I don't think this is the actual map from teh scout update BG though, looks very fake inside the spawn, too little detail etc.

It could just be a gameplay preview type map, like pl_cave was, before Goldrush came out. A little teaser for the gameplay, while we are waiting for the real deal.

hrmm, but you think they'd release it on fpsb? I think it would do the same as any other map created by Valve, tested by playtesters who Valve have hired, especially with something this "different"

Well we all know this map is a fake.
"Good fake but you do realize on the picture blu is on the right side, not left hahaha " - Dude on youtube

Also, I'm SUPER excited for the double payload maps. But if this is the concept it's inherently flawed. The playloads need to be going different directions for it to work imo.

I think dual payload (note: DUAL, not DUEL :P) would be an interesting game mode to try. It could be really really good, but not like it's implemented on this map. It's obviously too small, the teams are right next to each other the whole way and spawn right next to each other, the map is too small, etc.

However, imagine a map with two cart paths that start out separate (as the spawns wouldn't be close to each other), but then meet at various points racing towards an end goal. How wouldn't that be sweet? Engineers would have to rush ahead and compete with each other for the best build spots, teams would have to be both offensive and defensive...could be very fun.

When you look at it on the Scout Update page, it sort of looks like they are both trying to race up a hill(though there may be more to the map then you can see, assuming it exists). It looks like it has potential and its best not to judge until Valve makes a map like this.
