I use speakers but I have the headphones around my neck for the mic... its pretty gosh darn handy!! :thumbup::blink::laugh::mellow::w00t::blink:
Well it works for me, I don't know about the people who have the mic on their headphones and are also using them for sound also... I like with a 3 other roommates and they are constantly trying to scare the crap out of me so... yeah.

Everyone should click on headphones and go buy a Turtle Beach headset. Even if you're stripped for cash you can get a $15 headset with infinitely superior quality to any speakers you could buy for the same amount.

Not to mention, the more you buy from our sponsors, the more they can pay for our servers.

$15 wow i havent looked at them yet. lol but even if its $15 i still couldnt afford that. im a poor 15 year old with no job but im hopefully going to get a ob at a nice golf course when i turn 16 free golf!!!!!!!! and golf balls!!!!!!!!!!!

haha free golf balls. i will probally keep them and use them so i odont have to buy my own but yea getting that job there will save about $100 a month while i am making money. golf is a very expensive hobby

I have a pair of really awesome headphones that I use for everything. They are 5.1 surround sound so finding the direction someone is shooting at you from is a lot easier.

The only problem is that the cord always seems to get in the way of everything and is much too long.

Generally speakers, headphones if I need to game quietly.

Although, the other day I got a sound error where all of my sound failed, and I came first that round...so...maybe I should learn from that.

Recently I found out about the snd_restart command, so no more coming first for me.

Whoever said you can't listen to music on headphones? My headphone speakers are incredible! I do disagree, though, headphones are more versatile. Because you can do everything with them that you can do with speakers since they both produce sounds but they've got a mic hooked on to them so you can use the in-game voice chat. If you're using speakers, chances are you're going to get cross-over from your mic picking up game music from your speakers. The only way around that is a more expensive mic.

Well both for me, I use headphones when my girlfriend is home, and speakers at all other times. But I had my external speakers backwards earlier. I was wondering why I was hearing gunshots from the right and getting shot from the left. lol

I can always tell when someone has their speakers on because when they key their mic I can hear what's happening in game and the echo of that 1/2 second off over their speakers.

With good speakers you can do this also. I just prefer my speakers because headphones are unsanitary

They are only unsanitary if you let other people where them, I just find my ears hurt after a while, so I prefer speakers. I set my speakers out so that the a definite left and right when I play, so that they act the same as headphones.
