McAfee Users: You might want to read this.

So, some of you might have seen my post about FinallyFast.com. If you haven't, the link is in my signature, if you're curious. Anyways, I was surfing around the internet, checking a list of websites against MyWOT and Site Advisor. Site Advisor is McAfee's offering.

After I was done, I decided to see what Site Advisor thought of FinallyFast.Com. If you've read my post, you will know that FF.com is malicious. It's scores high on MyWOT.com in Fraud, Scam and Phishing; as well as the viruses section.

We tested this site and didn't find any significant problems.

Can't forget this..

When we visited this site, we found that most of its links are to sites which are safe or have only minor safety/annoyance issues.

The quoted text is taken straight from the results I got from Site Advisor. Of course, if you scroll down, you will see users comments, saying that FinallyFast isn't a trustworthy site. That's not what you should be concerned about. You should be concerned about the fact that McAfee thinks FinallyFast.com isn't malicious or dangerous.

So, McAfee users, are you sure you want to be using an Anti-Virus when the company thinks FinallyFast.com is a great website?

I tell you, some of the best A-V is free. Try AVG, used by some corps and businesses, it seems bulletproof so far, its small, unobtrusive, and most importantly, it works.

Site Advisor is technically correct in that there aren't any malicious scripts or exploits on FinallyFast.com's front page (I didn't go further and I sure as heck wasn't about to download anything from them). Most filters of that sort won't vouch for the veracity of the contents. Think of it as a signature-based scan of the delivered web page. It works similar to when your antivirus software scans a word doc, it only looks for bad macros - it doesn't care if the contents are total rubbish.

So while finallyfast.com is a total scam - the front page at least doesn't run any exploits.

finnalyfast.com destroyed my computer when i downloaded it, so i would advise not using it but it may just be me.

goto > start >programs > accessories >system tools >system restore

restore to a date before you screwed up you computer
