this is freakin serious! Everything is messed up! ;(

1. When i talk in ventrilo they can't hear me, BUT they hear EVERYTHING that is happening on my computer ;( HELP!
2. my mic sound is coming OUT OF MY SPEAKERS. what is that about??
3. i've got Windows vista. OMG
 
Ok.
For the sound coming out of speakers make sure you check the Mute box under you micophone in the Master Volume controls.

For the 1st problem, make sure your input and output are setup correctly.
Go to Control Panel
Hit Sounds and Audio Devices
Go to Voice
Make sure the box for Playback is selected as output. Ex. Mine is set to Realtek Audio HD output.
For Voice Recording box make sure it is set to an input. Ex. Mine is Realtek Audio HD input.
 
I got Windows Vista so its kind of unfamiliar to me what you are telling me to go to because it sounds like you got XP or something else. But ill try. thx
 
You know I have issues with this as well, my mic can only go in the line in jack and I can't use my mic in vent. It actually transmits harsh feedback and weird noises lol. On my settings in audio i don't have an input and output option and for some reason xp mutes my line in and wont let me unmute it. So if anyone figures this out I'd love the answer because I have just about the same problem, sans it transmitting my computer functions in vent.
 
What are the options you have under the Voice tab in the Sounds and Audio Devices selection in your control panel?

I know that if you have this set wrong it can cause problems as I use a Virtual Cable on my Ventrilo server to make a DJ Bot.
Basically when I run the Virtual Cable it plays w/e is playing on my computer through to Vent so you can hear, in high quality, my WINAMP music.
 
Sadly there is not Sounds and Audio devices in the Vista control panel, only a little "sounds" Where i get up just the same as i would do if i press the sound button at the bottom right corner.
If there is someone with Vista who knows this i would be happy
 
Isn't it in Recording Devices in Sounds in Vista somewhere?
Only used Vista once for 10mins and I hated it so much I've never touched it again XD sry
