follow up question on guest passes

just wondering how you even get guest passes, when you buy a new game do you automatically get one to give out? And is it for like all games, or just new ones...etc...thanks

i have never heard of that, but if i buy a game a free guest pass would be cool tho.

i think it only works for steam games. and i think that you get a pass when you activate the steam game.

Its when a game is doing some kind of promotion, such as red orchestra. When you buy Red Orchestra you get 2 free guest passes. Its just a way to get others to like and buy the game.
I know they have guest passes for other steam games as well
