need help

Straight to the point: I'm looking for a website to check if my computer is compatible to a new graphics card for a minimum requirement for a game I have and that I really want to play smoothly (it's Call of Duty 4, btw). Seriously, I'm getting about 5-8 fps, not joking. I'm not very good with computers, so I don't think that there might be a website for this. I've already went to a website call "can you run it" and got a list of a few graphics cards. Well, after talking with an acquaintance of mine who is more computer savvy, he said it's hopeless for me to run it. I've forgot the reason why, but I'm set on proving him wrong. So, can you guys help me? If it helps any, I'm running on a Dell Optiplex 320.

actually, all that site will tell ya is whether your system can run the game or not, esp on minimum or recommended settings. the reason that they display those video card stats is thats the video card that will work under that area based on ~10-15 fps (or showing smooth graphics). depending on which video card you have will depend on whether you can play the game well or not. if you have a video card lower than 7800, then i suggest an upgrade. also depending on how much youre willing to spend on an upgrade will depend on what kinda video card to get.

Sadly, with a Dell Optiplex 320 you are not going to have many great options. That is the old basic model of the Dell business oriented product line. Does it have a Celeron processor?
