HLStatsX button on the profile page?

Currently, we have MAUL Home, User's MAUL Profile and User's Steam Page on user's profile page. Well, how about User's HLStatsX Page?

A working example: http://www.spideyworks.com/hlstatsx

It has 2 parameters, Steam ID and Game. If player's HLStatsX page is found, it will display a link to it, otherwise it will display a grayed out button.

For example, this is my HLStatsX page for Team Fortress 2: http://www.spideyworks.com/hlstatsx/index.php?steam=STEAM_0:0:13346528&game=tf


So, to display Hoodie's HLStatsX page for Counter-Strike: Source, I would type:

index.php?steam=STEAM_0:0:14230224&game=css

Available game parameters:

tf - Team Fortress 2
css - Counter-Strike: Source
dods - Day of Defeat: Source
insmod - Insurgency


I don't know, Steam ID could be easily fetched from MAUL database and game type from user's division tag. :)

Very interesting concept!
I like the idea, though the set up could take time to work out.
 
One thing though.
What about the people that play in multiple divisions? :|

The game parameter would be your division tag.

Example: My division tag is Team Fortress 2 and if I click on HLStatsX button, it will take me to my TF2 stats.

But, if an user doesn't have one, he would have a grayed out button on the profile page.

The button would be grayed out. You can check my example in the first post. If you put some other game parameter that's not supported by HLStatsX, the button will be grayed out.
 
how about the button shows all the stats from all the divisions, but that would be too much work. it was a good ideal thought, think about it. It would be a lot easier. In some cases >_>
 
i am also tired to find my stats :) its look nice i hope we got a hlstats button as soon :D

In this case, there isn't really a need to even include a specific division... If you just leave out the "game" parameter from the URL, it will pull up the profiles for all the games they've been in.

For instance, this URL would pull up my profile for both TF2 and DoD (which I played on a 3 day trial):

http://ego.hlstatsx.com/?mode=search&q=STEAM_0:1:14571341&st=uniqueid

If they do have a division tag, however, you could modify the link to include it. In my case, since I have a TF2 tag, it would point to my TF2 stats by adding the "game" parameter in the search, like this:

http://ego.hlstatsx.com/?mode=search&q=STEAM_0:1:14571341&st=uniqueid&game=tf

I'd be all for a button link in the profiles, though. :)

This does sound good although some of us already have it in our sigs
But yeah man this idea rocks :)
